Hi, my questions is should I order MB31 EVE new battery and wait for the shipping or the LF280k, I read that some LF280K are having problem or was this corrected? Thanks

Recent reports people have tested some 280kv3 at +300ah.

I’m sure you could still buy some duds if you’re shopping for the cheapest price.

I just ordered 12 280kv3 from Luyuan, price was $77 plus shipping which to my door brought it up to $95 a cell.

With issues of the first batches of 280ks back in 2022 I’m cautious on jumping on a new “design”.

I'm ordering from 18650batterystore, I did talk to Luyan rep, but they don't have this in the USA. Thanks

Yeah slow boat always adds some anticipation and excitement that instant gratification of US stock can’t quite match.

For me the added time was worth the $100-$200 in savings vs 18650.

Hello, yes technologically the new model is perhaps more interesting. But manufacturers are always in a hurry to release a product to the market, and this rush leads to shortcomings in the quality of the product. Therefore, my choice is a proven technology model EVE LF280k.

I ordered 80 280k v3 cells from 18650 and I have tested 52 of them so far with ZKETECH 40 amp testers. I am charging to 3.5v and stopping at a tail current of 6.44 Amps then discharging to 2.5v (2 cycles recording the 2nd cycle )The lowest capacity is 301.4 AH and the highest is 309.3 AH , 37 of the 52 tested above 305 AH.

Speaking of 280k V3, how many cycles have people put them through? I know initial capacity is way better than previous versions.

I'm off the road in Alaska so shipping is too much for me. However I noticed on AliExpress (I think) that someone here provided a link for (or maybe Offgrid Garage - don't remember) the MB31 (or was it 30?) would ship here according to the website for around $100 for 4 cells. I would need to inquire to make sure. But the 280's would not offer shipping.

I just priced Docan for 18 v3 LF280K cells for a Texas to California delivery @ $74 per cell that includes $0 for shipping (wondering about sales tax ... I think two cells extra is not a bad idea for down the road adjustments of possible spiker cells, or low capacity cells that could show up later, over time. Also thinking of ordering before U.S. Tariffs start affecting prices.
