For an off-grid application (ie. not tied to the grid). I wanted to see if it seems reasonable to do a Power Inlet Port (50A) into the main panel (which would then feed the rest of the house in a traditional fashion). Installing something like this:
However, by using the Power Inlet Port, anything upstream (inverters/battery) etc. would not be a part of the electrical inspection, if they are portable (like an Ecoflow Delta). My thinking is that this simplifies the process, especially if the inspector isn't familiar/experienced with battery systems.
