Job: changing to Lithy batteries from FLA for travel trailer WITH a 35 amp converter that needs to be changed to lithy compatible. Parts house says install 45 amp lithy unit and the battery manuf suggests only 20 A charging current. Existing wiring is #8 Stranded Copper wire and will need to be replaced with 45 amp converter. More Details: 2 - 12 V 100 Ah LiTime batteries. new location for batteries inside the coach will require 8 to 10 feet of new cables to reach the converter which has not been purchased as yet. Looking at PD9345V converter replacement unit. Would appreciate some constructive input. Thanks in advance!

You can charge each of those at 20 amps. Combined 40amps is still within LiTime's suggested charge rate. Their max rate is considerably higher so 45 amps is just fine.
