AEMC says energy users in Queensland are set to see the biggest benefit as power prices fall in most Australian states and territories over the next three years.

There has been so much roof top solar go up in the SW WA grid, isolated from the east coast grid, that solar capacity out paces their biggest baseload generator and is very likely going to destabilise their supply potentially causing the network to fail.

The Uptake of solar in states like NSW, VIC and QLD is greater than that of WA's. I wonder how these states are stabilizing their electricity grids.

Electricity prices will fall due to uptake in renewables but government rebates for solar panels are also decreasing.

It really comes down to WA not having anywhere to send excess, or to source from for any shortfalls. Even so it is a problem that the eastern states are having to come to terms with, which is why there is much discussion about requiring new installations or replacement inverters to be able to accept commands from the network to control their output.
