Review of Cerrnss LiFePo4 48V100ah battery modules

Small update which folks might find helpful. I have 5 of these batteries in parallel, and they work very well. I did notice that I was seeing some strange issues with one of the batteries occasionally where it would significantly discharge more than the others, according to its display - I'd wake up some mornings after an overnight grid charge and see 4 of the batteries charged to around 90% SoC, but one lagging behind (~50%). I assumed perhaps I needed to do some balancing, so I bought a small 60v DC charger to top them up but noticed something odd - the laggard battery at 50% would charge up to 100% very quickly (too quick for the state of charge to make sense), almost as though it was displaying the wrong SoC.

I was scratching my head at this for a while, but I found a solution this week with my Solis 6kW inverter. I updated the battery settings from user-defined (similar to Vito's in post 1), to instead use "Pylon LV" as a battery type, as I recall from the manual that the batteries were compatible with Pylontech in some way.. To my surprise, after the settings update, the inverter was showing the correct SoC, but more interestingly, the laggard battery updated its SoC on its display to something more accurate. It showed 60% SoC before the setting change; then it jumped to 90% (similar to the other batteries) after the setting on the inverter was updated. Since altering this setting I've had 0 alerts, and the delta between SoC on the batteries has been less than 5% at any given time.

Thanks for sharing, it's very helpful.
In fact, some of our other customers have encountered similar situations.
Their battery or one of them is reading wrong SOC information due to BMS data.
For this situation, we generally upgrade the BMS remotely to help the BMS provide correct data to the inverter.

It seems like the BMS can talk Pylontech's protocol or similar, which is great

Yes, they are mainly for personal use customers. We are for wholesale business but also accept sample order. Our price is better than Ali express shop.
If you are interested in our batteries, you can share some details and email with me. I will send you a quotation then you can compare ours with our Ali express shop.
Hi Zack, I tried purchase CERRNSS battery from Ali Express but the person in charge said unable to deliver to my address of East Malaysia. Will your company able to supply through sea shipping? Can you email me @ johnkunak@gmail.com

Yeah, I saw your order in our shipping logistics group. They are on the process of checking it this morning.

Hi Zack, is there any way to contact you in a direct way? I'm having really serious problem with your product. Don't want to expose everything here because I hope that it's just an isolated issue, but still customer service is important. It looks like CERRNSS is a serious brand.

I'm here to inform that, after more two weeks, even the customer service agent from this forum is not answering.
I'm confident to say that you SHOULD AVOID THEM. They provide NO AFTER-SALE, and I have all the proofs possible to back this up.

Attached below, the WhatsApp chat with Zack Lin.

First of all, you bought the battery in our AliExpress store. And I am not the person in charge, I just conveyed your appeal to our colleagues in different departments for you. I don't quite understand why you didn't attach a record of your communication with the person in charge.
Secondly, our colleagues have confirmed the after-sales plan with you before, and you are the one who did not reply.

Ok so, after a quick interaction with Zack, I understood that even though they share the same brand name and logo, he doesn't work specifically in the AliExpress department, but only in the Alibaba one.

He's not accountable for the total lack of communication from Aliexpress store support. After I asked him if he want the post to be deleted/edited, he stated "I'm not asking you to delete the comment until you get a satisfactory solution", and I really appreciated that.

Actually, he went beyond his duties and asked the next door department to give me a return address, after one month of silence from their side. AliExpress Customer Service is aware of that, and are helping me as well. I now need to ship a 45 kg battery across the world, but that's another story.

Last thing:
you are the one who did not reply
just isn't true:

Just to keep everybody up to date.

I shipped the battery to CERRNSS in China (more than 400 € with UPS), they received it on 09/06/2023.

From that day, everything is silent from their side. Almost a month now, I have no battery, no refund, and I even spent 400€ for the return shipping fees. I've lost 2'000 €.

Screenshot as always:

Does anyone know the type of BMS these batteries use or if its a rebrand of another well known BMS?

Forum member @Subella Li tried to post to the thread but hit the Report button instead. Here's what she tried to post.

Dear JayeDee, this is Subella from Cerrnss factory, I want to share this with you. our BMS is self-designed, controlling voltage differences less than 0.001-0.005V and 32 units parallel supported. :) if you want to know more details. just let me know.

yes my bad
Hi @Subella Li , I've been in contact with your colleague @Zack Lin about my refund, but he disappeared 3 weeks ago.
Your AliExpress store isn't answering either.

What can I do to get my refund? I even spent 400€ to ship your faulty battery back. Do you really want to ruin your reputation by stealing 1600€ from a simple customer?

Sorry, got some issues of my last WhatsApp number. Confirmed with our Aliexpress colleague just now, they have made the refund but it will take 15-30 days.

Dear Skabboz, don't worry we are solving this, pls notice your bank account, sooner you will receive your refund,

Your colleague said that he requested the refund on July 21st and that I should've waited for 20 days. That's almost 2 months ago.

Why should I wait another month now?

Also, how should I receive the refund? You don't have all the necessary information for a bank wire transfer...

You can ask my colleague for the info, like just calling him directly. Here is the process, Aliexpress-bank-your account.
