Series/parallel connection 48 v system, best practice

Hello and thanks for supporting.
I've read a lot of posts explaining "how to" and "pros" and "cons" in setting up battery banks but can't find a clear answer to a simple question.
I have 8 AGM batteries (12 V 180 Ah each) and need to set up a 48 V system.
Which solution is the best?

Solution 1:
2 banks with 4 batteries in series and then connecting both banks in parallel

Solution 2:
4 banks with 2 batteries in parallel and then connecting all 4 banks in series

Not a lot of difference really overall design capacity is the same for them both at 17280 watt hours the only trivial difference is the more parallel connections there are the bigger the buzz bar or cable diameter will be needed between battery units

Solution 1 will allow you to take one set offline to work on it and still have a functioning system.
