Hi
Greetings from sunny Scotland (well.....it's sunny today).
Have really enjoyed watching Will's video's and reading the posts on here.
Not a solar power issue but you folks seem most knowledgeable about all things LiFePo4.... so hopefully you can help me.
I'm building a power pack for a large model boat.
I've ordered 12 of these from AliExpress -
VariCore 3.2V 32700 6500mAh LiFePO4 Battery
I need 12v so will be arranging them (3 in parallel) x 4 in series. So, if my maths is right I'll end up with 12.8V volts & 19.5Ah.
If my thinking is right I'm needing a 4s BMS.
Most i'll be pulling is about 20A so I should go for a 40A BMS right?.
Charging will be overnight so can be relatively light current (i'll use a my 8A car battery charger if that's ok.)
No need for low temperature protection as i'll do the charging on my workbench.
If the above is complete none-sense, then please put me right.
If i've got it right, can anyone recommend a decent BMS for the above, please?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Dave
