I have 50-amp service in my RV and I want to run one of the 120/v legs through my Xantrex 2000XC inverter/charger to power my outlets and microwave oven circuits, and run the other leg directly to my 50-amp Distribution. I have a couple of questions.

  • Can I do this?
  • How do I spilt the actually wire?
  • Is there a type of J-Box or connector that would make this easy vs having a bunch of splices?
  • I am not sure on how to deal with my Neutral and Ground connection
  • Dose the inverter and Distribution box both need a Neutral and ground?
  • Or can I run the Neutral and Ground through the inverter to the distribution box, and the other 120/v leg directly to distribution box?
Any thoughts or ideas welcomed.
