Hi all i am after some help please, I have a 30v 280w solar panel I also have a 24v 30w adjustable dc pump the pump is run on a 240v transformer which I have removed. I have connected the panel to the pump in sunny conditions the lights on the control of the pump light up but the pump does not start up any info on why it does not start would be great please

Are you saying you are trying to run that pump directly off of that one panel?

Hi,
So i think you should try this system with 2 small batteries such as 12ah 12v, MPPT 24v, and solar panel. I think it should work.

The Solar Panels have what is called a maximum power point. What this means is that they produce maximum current at a specific voltage. If you just connect a Solar Panel to a load then it will only produce a fraction of the power it is capable of. That is the job of the Mppt controller.

In order to get this to work you will probably need to add a battery and a controller.
