Using the EG4 all in one for non EG4 batteries worth it?

Hello I am shopping for an all in one to pair with my 2 48v Jakiper batteries. When I noticed Signature Solar is selling a refurbed' EG4 3kw all in one inverter on sale. Now this inverter works with my system spec wise. However since I have non EG4 batteries I believe I am not getting any benefit from the communication system. So I am wondering if it is worth buying the EG4 inverter or should I just buy a non EG4 inverter whose can actually communicate with the batteries?
