Victron Orion Smart DC-DC charger settings for 2022 Solis 59PX with Lithium batteries.

Our coach batteries were shot. We are replacing the original baatteries with Renogy 12V 100Ah Pro Smart Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery w/Bluetooth & Self-heating Function which will be installed in the original battery locations.

Adding Victron Orion Smart DC-DC charger to manage charging the house Lithium batteries from the coach. Looking for recommended settings for the DC-DC charger to ensure the batteries get properly charged while protecting the alternator and coach electrics.

We also replaced the converter (Main Board Assembly) of our power center with the Auto Detect version to properly charge the Lithium batteries from shore power.​

For charging from the solar panels we will continue to use the original Xantrex solar controller changing to the Lithium settings.

We also have a 100W portable solar panel with 20 foot extension cable that we move around during the day for optimum sun exposure.

The smart one has profiles for charging. The non smart ones have a dial and much cheaper. If you're just getting a 30a smart then set to lfp and you're set

Use the default lithium charger settings, 14.2 charge 13.5 float, also can be user set to any required charge profile The cut in and cut out default values work 'out of the box' with most vehicles but can be adjusted via the Victron app.
Renogy batteries usually have unbalanced cells so it may be necessary to lower the charge volts to 14.0 or 13.8 .
Follow the guidance in the manual for fuse and cable values . The Orion runs hot so install with good ventilation.
