Outside of the additional AC IN, are there any other differences in functionally to a MPII (not the x2 120 version)? Is there something in the MPII that make it easier to program, more ESS flexibility, etc?

There's notable differences between Quattro and MPII as those are built on different chassis and use different connection methods, but they are fundamentally the same in terms of features. All VE.Bus inverter/chargers share a massive amount of feature overlap.

The biggest distinction with either the Quattro II or MP II is their notably lower power consumption.

So from a feature perspective they are in parity. Want to make sure one would not miss out on a new capability that only the MPII provides.

Yes. You will find more UL approved MP and MP II than Quattro (if any) if that's something important to you.
