Hello
I'm looking for an all in one inverter for my new, first installation and have settled on the MMP Solar PIP 8048MAX-EU https://maximumsolar.online/product/pip-8048max-eu-warehouse/ BUT.... it looks identical to PowMr POW-MAX 8KW https://powmr.com/products/all-in-one-inverter-charger-8000w-230vac-48vdc !!
Any ideas? PowMr is MUCH cheaper... I am a bit confused.. any insight would be much welcome as well as suggestions for alternatives (preferrably that I can have shipped from EU country!)

I know the MPP Solar are liked because of more stable firmware according to those that sell them. I have a 2424LV and have had no issues… other than I outgrew it so looking at a 3024 to get 250v PV in… likely will need to add a stronger inverter too to run my small power tools.

MPP is a proper licensed Voltronics rebrand. PowMR is a cheap clone. Go with MPP if you want support and spare part availability

Yeah they do seem to be the same device, in my case the MPP Solar 3024 is cheaper.

voltronics makes both, they will sell to anyone with $1M cash
the hardware tis the same factory line for both. they make the firmware. MPP can possibly pay more attention to firmware requests for voltronics but ultimately they are in the same boat at the mercy of a bunch of engineers at voltronic.

As my budget is limited atm and at the same time I will need to install in segments, and will need two inverters I went on to look for a cheaper 6kw unit first.. I skipped other obvious ofspring brands and tried to compare MPP Solar 6048MT https://maximumsolar.online/product/6048mt-6kw-48v/ BUT, its not available from EU warehoouse and, ordering it would add a lot of cost for customs clearance etc to the listed price of aprox 650$... I then went to PowMr and checked this one POW-HVM6.2K-48V-LIP https://powmr.com/products/all-in-one-inverter-charger-for-parallel-6200w-220vac-48vdc which, escorted with its WiFi device would cost the same 650$ but, asking PowMr about it was not easy and I cannot figure out if they ship from Europe or China plus, when I asked if it can keep up with an air-condition they suggested I buy a bigger unit... I mean.. the AC is a modern inverter unit which has "soft start" and does not consume more than 1500W in normal operation anc certainly would never exceed ~3kW at peak... I spoke with people who operate 18-24000BTU units on 5-6kW inverters plus whatever esle they're using without problems ... strange..
I think I will go with this one.. Voltronic Axpert VM III TWIN 6000watt 48V https://www.solarpower24.it/negozio/voltronic-axpert-vm-iii-twin-6000watt-48v-off-grid-inverter at 682 euro including shipping etc.. any opinions?? any alternative??

I was running a Voltronic clone for about a year before I purchased my first SRNE. If they are available in Europe I'd buy that over Voltronic, check out the HYP or ASP models, they will allow you to expand in the future.

Growatt is also well liked around here, I'd also check out Deye.

The Growatt and SRNE will be a similar or better price than Voltronic, the Deye likely being most expensive.

This first unit, once I upgrade adding a bigger one, will be used as an MPPT to only charge the battery during the day...
I am trying to figure out a small automation that will disconnect it from the battery safely when not in use as an MPPT
Growatt is more expensive and SRNE I cannot find really
as for Deye is considered premium brand around here and is on the same price range as Victron or more expensive even...

I think someone could build a whole business starting a youtube channel and a website comparing all those clones!!!
This is super frustrating.. so, unless you go with Tier 1 victron and the like setup and, you are on a budget, your choices eventually go down to brands like

PowMr
ECGSolax
MPP Solar
Voltronics
Daxtromn
Anern
Techfine
Getemete
Anenji
Lamsowrd
SAKO
BUSBYR
Powland
Must
Next
(some Gowatt come from the same source too I read?)
and others which to me at least look exactly the same more or less but have different price ranges .. Voltronics/MPP Solar appear to be the top end of this range but others like Daxtromn are quite popular and almost half the price.. I mean.. I'd like to put them all in one place and compare them, test and determine if they are identical, are they using inferior capacitors or mosfet/igbt or have cut corners elsewhere...

I changed the title of the thread.. I have come down to three potential brands which appear to be identical unless perhaps you open them and one is shite and the other is a workhorse... Voltronics - MPP Solar - Dextromn

PowMr is also the same

Yeah, I have compiled a list couple posts earlier .. the problem is.. what does really relabeling mean
Its one thing to have a design made in one factory using same specs in which case I can simply buy the cheaper of the bunch (and they have HUGE differences in pricing) or, possibly I need to figure out who is the real manufactured and check if his own branding is better quality or, perhaps they make the same design for someone else at better quality...

FFS, I don't believe I have reached this point sooo soon... but, I think I am going with Deye SUN-6K-SG03LP1-EU I found from Holland for 1065 euro .. its 3 times more than Dextromn and almost twice more than Voltronics and PowMr and MPP Solar but by what I can understand its worth every penny from simply reading the datasheet and manual.. Plus, I can add one in parallel when I enter phase two (addition of aprox 10KW solar panel) and, from what I get from deye owners, while Chinese its Watts and Volts have studyied in Oxford or MIT and know their real value
