What Tape?

What is the best tape to use to hold my solar panel cables to the underside of the panel. So that wind and water can't get to them as much. Thanks.

Nothing’s going to last very long for tape in tension on the backside of a panel out in the sun. Guerrilla Tape, or that silicone tape manufacturers use on camper roofing these days.

or a zip tie with the screw eye on it, and a little stainless self tapper? That’s what I’d do.

I use cable ties to attach my cables to the z brackets. I haven't seen any problems on my RV. No way I would be sticking anything to the underside of the panel.

Hopefully zip ties with UV protection or even the aluminum variety.

I have used plastic cable covers with adhesive backing. I got mine at Home Depot or Lowes in the electrical department. Not sure if they are UV safe most likely not. But it worked well. Never came off or fell apart in two years.
