I have very limited funds so I've been working on upgrades over a long period of time. Christmas netted me enough to pick up a Victron 75/15 Smartsolar.
I'm still using a 33AH AGM until I can upgrade to LiFePO4 and only a few ham radios are running off the battery/solar so even with my single 100W system as long as I get some sun the battery gets topped off pretty quickly.
So, what do I do with my excess solar?
I'm considering getting a smallish grid tie inverter and using the AES of the load side of the Victron to switch a relay to the inverter when the battery is full.
Anyone have a better/simpler/cheaper idea of what I could do?
Thanks,
Richard
