When charging is good or bad?

So running 6000xp with 3 eg4 LifePower 5kw batteries .. with 3k watts solar on my rv.. when out boondocking I use chargeverter to top off each night, the question is when I’m connect to shore power should I allow top off from grid each night also? Or is it better for batteries to allow it to discharge up and down each day 10-30% till they get low then allow to charge? Not sure if it matters or not?

IMHO, to charge or not charge depends more on ensuring the batteries are allowed to spend sufficient time at elevated voltage for the BMS to maintain the top balance.

Does this mean you think it’s a good idea to go to 100% each day?

How is your top balance? If it's good, it's not important. If imbalance is something you run into from time to time, it's more important.

they have been cycled about 8 times .. so I would assume no problem yet..
