An acquaintance of mine is looking to connect three Jackery SolarSaga 100 solar panels to their new camper that has a Zamp "solar ready" port on the side.

I'd appreciate any feedback on the proposed setup below, please. Thank you!!!

Panels: Jackery SolarSaga 100 x3

Peak Power: 100W
Power Voltage: 18V
Power Current: 5.5A
Open Circuit Voltage: 21.6V
Short Circuit Current: 6A

Panel Combiner: Jackery Solar Panel Connector

It has 3 8MM female inputs for the panels and 1 8MM male output.

Controller: Renogy Elite 20A MTTP

PV Input Voltage Range: 15V-100V VOC
Rated Charge Current: 20A

Wires: PAEKQ DC 8mm Female to SAE Connector Adapter 14AWG Cable Wire (6Ft)

Suggest cutting this in half. Use one side to connect panels to MPPT, the other side to connect MPPT to Zamp port on side of camper.

Yes run the panels in series. 6 amps is fine with #14 wire. 66 volts is fine with the controller 100v max input.

Skip the combiner.

I do not think SAE connector and 14ga wires will handle 20A battery charging current, the wire should be at least 12ga.

Skip the combiner.
The output of each panel is an 8MM barrel connector. They’d like to keep that connector as they’ll also occasionally use the panels with a Jackery solar generator in addition to the camper.

They already own the combiner. I’m guessing using it would be the easiest way to run the panels in series given the panels’ 8MM connectors?

All right then I would be into 3x 8mm connector pigtails to wire series into an SAE connector to feed in the side.

Otherwise three panels in parallel is a bit much for that stock wiring.

Yes there is a mental difficulty to drill and cut into that new shiny trailer and to hack up this otherwise plug and play equipment. Those days are long past on mine ;)

I just noticed the Jackery connector says it connects the panels in series. I should have caught that last night, sorry! ?‍♂️

Mounting the controller inside should be easy-peazy.
