Need help I can't get beyond Rec Bms not found?

It is from the rec bms wi fi module.

I can connect to the wi fi but cannot get the info screen. I can update the firm ware but still see cant see the battery information.

I've got the same issue. I am trying to solve it with REC for 3rd week now. The firmware update they suggested is not working. Have you tried talking to them? I have already emailed their CEO and asked for PC software so I can at least review and adjust the settings. Still waiting for an answer.

I feel your pain i am going on six weeks. They have responded a number of times but it hasn't been very helpful. They are sending a replacement wi wf board to try and I will tell you if it helps. I have updated the firm ware but can't get away from (no rec bms found). I'm wondering if maybe it would have been better to go with the blue tooth version as that seems to have worked for others. 6 weeks huh? That's not good. I am going to give them a call on Monday. I have already asked if it is possible at least to get the PC software in order to set up my BMS (I believe you can make it work with a standard RS 485 cable), but I got no reaction from them. I'll keep you posted George. Hope we both be up and running in no time.

Brand new REC ABMS and Wifi module and same issue - BMS not found. Go to firmware screen, set send-address to 2 as per REC, receive address as 0, and still no luck.

This is for a neighbors RV so I feel like an ass for suggesting REC ABMS and the Wifi....

I know of several ABMS in use and running well. But not with the Wifi as it's new. I suspect the issue is in the comm between the Wifi module and the ABMS.

I have also tried 0-10 send address, tried to upgrade firmware that REC sent on both wifi module and BMS, changed the baud rate. Even took it out, formatted the SD card and copied the FW bin files there manually. Result is still the same.

Guys perhaps I have figured it out. Long story short, REC send me a link to the PC software today. Since I had a RS 485 connector at home I figured I will at least set up the bms through there. Turned out it was not so simple, since I had to correctly wire the pins from BMS connector to the RS to USB converter. It did not work. I already wanted to smash everything, but then as last resort I swapped the DATA A and DATA B pins. That way it was working.

I figured, maybe that was the problem with the wifi module all along (I was suspecting the cable but REC ensured me it was the firmware). So I disassembled the white connector from BMS to Wifi module and swapped number 4 and 5 (RS-485 B and RS-485 A). It's easy, no tools required.

My Wifi module is now working....

ok I was so hopeful but after swapping 4 and 5 I'm still getting bms not found. Setting 16 and 0...also tried 2 and 0...Damn
