Hello everyone!
I am having a hard time designing a system that's safe, and as effective as possible, considering that my home State of Oregon doesn't get as much sun as Arizona. Learning about solar sytems, while trying to decide what components to buy, and how those components may help ensure the safety and effectivenes of the system has proven to be a chalenge for me.
My intention is to build an off-grid 48V system. And I will be buying 100Ah LiFePo4 battery cells.
The only items I have bought so far are:
- 16S BMS from Overkill Solar
- EG-4 3000 EHV-48 inverter / charge controler
The area where I live doesn't have any trees or tall structures that would cause shading, and the pitch of my roof would not cause any shading, however I can only fit 4 panels on each side of the roof (8 total) due to home size. This makes me think that I need to buy panels that are at least 250W.
I am hoping this community can help me design the system and source the components to make it work.
