New Sol Ark 5k 1p

Can’t wait to see the specs. Don’t see how it could be fully UL like it’s bigger brothers since it’s only 120v.

UL, doesn't require a specific voltage or configuration.
I’m talking for compliance with grid sell, etc. not sure how that could be done with only 120v grid connect. Maybe, just don’t know. If this has rapid shutdown/etc could be awesome though.

I'm not sure if it has export capability. But, it could. You can import 120v, so you can also export 120v.
I would assume that it will have all of the certificates, just like the rest of that family of units.
I can only imagine how expensive it will be.

I could be totally wrong but way back in the day when 120-watt solar panels were about the biggest you could get and cost $4/watt it does seem like somebody made an 120v 1800-watt string inverter that met the grid interconnection standards of the day. Maybe it was the very first SunnyBoy I ever saw???

There are 120vac inverters that are UL1741 certified for being grid interactive. Sunny Island is one example.,

There is series stacking of 120vac inverters for 240v/120v grid connect with grid export.

Good point. Completely forgot about Sunny Island.

Looks like it could be a real hit, if they drop their normal prices in half. I would love to use one, but it will probably cost $5k instead of $2k.

Engineer775 says $4k
