Well, it's a pretty small fridge. Couldn't fit that much chuck roast in there and have room to beer anybody but myself. :). But, I could fit quite a few tenderloins in there. Bacon wrapped tenderloins and eggs with potatoes O'brian. Potatoes and eggs are cheap, I wait for a sale on the tenderloins.
No problems with mine in UPS mode. 1 month now. If I put it in "silent mode", there is only a slight warming on the top, fan does not run. I has been a good little unit for me. Too bad you got a bad one.
Here is another bit of chicanery that has been going on. Trusting amazon reviews is not good advice.

Hi!
I have a small off grid (very) house (16’x20’) and am getting ready to purchase a refrigerator. Originally I was going to use a propane fridge but would rather not have the monthly bill of propane.
As of the other day I was dead set on a DC...
What about that fuel tank under the RV and it's potential to leak and or off-gas? Wouldn't that be a greater possible hazard than lifepo4 cells?
Not to mention the obvious hazards from propane, etc. Then there's the possible off gassing from manufactured materials used in RC's.
Wow, you have one? Mine's on the way. I already have a couple of cheap pwm's, so this has got to be an improvement at some level. I just need it to charge my 100ah SOK which is my house battery for my a-frame camper. I would like to put a couple of panels in series (200w + 100w) to charge a bit...
Wasn't this the stated use case:
Offgrid cottage or cabin used on the weekends.
Owner wants to turn off the inverter but keep the fridge running during the week.
So obviously the DC fridge wins hands down here.
Didn't say it was Jurassic park painted. The YJ is well known as the "Jurassic park heep".
So what you are saying is that you agree with me about quality. This just proves my point.
You are willing to spend a premium price for parts for your jeep, but you think a quality generator isn't worth...
Where is the MPP 2724 available as speced for $285?? Curious. Although it appears the pv voltage is limited to 50v? Wouldn't work with my portable array, at least not in series, anyways. I have a solar shed, this could be a good candidate for upgrading that. AIO's seem to be a good value.

Well, yeah, but considering the threat level, I wonder what is the cause of most RV fatalities? CO? fire caused by propane? what would be the more likely scenario, a lithium fire or a fuel tank or propane fire? Not that you wouldn't want to consider all hazards, just sayin'
I have several portable power stations, including a jackery 300. ~285 wh. I use it with an iceco DC fridge. Something the size of the jackery is all you need. If you charge it from the truck, or from solar, it will run forever.
Consider the possibility that the current UFO/UFV events are simply a distraction and/or a cover for something else. Besides, if they are real, they had to have come a long way to get here. Where's the mothership?
