Wild speculation is not a credible position.

Funny fact: almost no one, ever, with a degree in political science, has ever had any success, in politics. No one. Ever. All those professional accomplishments and yet you still have hours each day to post in this forum and roam the internet like don quioxte, knocking down the windmills of...
  • Post in thread: Renogy inverter/charger not working on shore

Reading your last post again, are you verifying with a multimeter that victron smart charger has 13.5 volts at its output terminals? Im not familiar with that exact model but no smart charger should. Nothing you can do with any smart charger will wake up that battery until you introduce at least...
  • Post in thread: Looking for perfect panels for tilting solar rack on van

Thats kinda cool, but since it only moves on elevation and not azimuth IMO its as much as a gimmick as it is useful.

Oh I guess wiki and Obamas DOJ are white supremists? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_crime_in_the_United_States What does overrepresented mean to you? You wont acknowledge the most elementary facts and pretend to comment with credibility?
  • Post in thread: wire stripping for crimping: how much wire loss is tolerable

One of my mechanic friends uses a lighter as a stripping tool on little stuff like 16-18 gauge. It works but doing it without gloves takes practice. I just bought a klein autostripper for my toolbox, must have close to a dozen tools just for stripping. Bought their biggest diagonal cutters...
  • Post in thread: I think this is by far the most convenient way to travel but does not include long distances

Theyre being banned in a lot of cities because of the high number of faceplants and brain trauma injuries. Small wheels+potholes/obstacles+no head protection = tragic conequences. It wouldnt be that hard for the scooter companies to incorporate a helmet thats locked to the machine, and makes the...
  • Post in thread: The Great Reset

That wasnt me so thats irrelevent. The next time that happens tell them what I told you. If you dismiss a reference for bias, because of your own bias, you must dismiss yourself as well. Its just being lazy and disrespects the other poster who took the time to bring information to educate you...
  • Post in thread: Of grid camper. small solar/large battery?

So youre using the overkill 12v 120a everyone is recommending...on a 12v 8 cell system? Or two of them? If the prior, doesnt that leave it only monitoring half the cells? Does the 120a capacity have additional headroom for surge? Pretty sure my AC thru an inverter will exceed that on compressor...
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

Your study is irrelevant. Subjects received only 50 mg zinc, thats far less than the treatment described. (150-200mg). More importantly, they did not use zinc lozenges dissolved in the throat (preferrably lying down) they simply administered zinc as a supplement. What an irresponsible study. It...
  • Post in thread: Toyota Sienna hybrid electrical system

I have had the redarc dc-dc charger, the 50a model for about a year and a half. Its been trouble free, you dont even think about it. The only limitation Ive seen is that combined with a BMS equipped lifepo4, if the battery runs down and shuts down discharge, the system is dead until you...

Why did you post this lie, Leo?
  • Post in thread: to crimp or not to crimp

Okay so youre saying that because welding can heat up cables enough to melt solder, it shouldnt be used for solar battery storage. Anyone using their solar systems for welding may find that helpful. The rest of us, well here is what Trojan Battery says about it...
  • Post in thread: I think this is by far the most convenient way to travel but does not include long distances

It was almost amusing the way the bikes were treated with such disrespect in san diego. Most were stolen and stripped or painted and ridden by the homeless... Those that remained were destroyed by average citizens. The whole fad lasted maybe 6 months.
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

You seem to want your own definition of what is healthy to be applied, to reject information provided by official government agencies. If that isnt constructing a straw man Im not sure what is. The governments list of pre existing conditions can be found on the CDC website it is well defined and...

Good god if that isnt dishonesty I dont know what is. What have crude oil prices done since Biden took office? SOARED according to your own graph. From 50 a barrel in january to a peak of well over 80 and about there today.
  • Post in thread: How to cheaply add 12 V (10 A) DC charging to mobile solar package?

A bit less? When the AC charger has about a 14.6v output? With the losses in efficiency in both the inverter and charger involved, by the time you turned the voltage available at the lighter back to 14.6 I dont think a charger greater than 6a wouldnt blow that fuse. And trying a bigger fuse in...
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

Why are you putting this on my shoulders, when not too long ago someone produced and released a film which showed people being hunted down and murdered, merely because they voted for Trump? If youre going to reference my statements alleging I encourage civil war, do copy and paste these...
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

If you dismiss a source merely because its bias is opposite your own, you must dismiss yourself as well. The criticisms including "loaded wording" are regularly practiced at CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, etc. If the source is so unreliable then rhe content should be easily refuted. You may want the...

If I claimed that zinc lozenges were effective at fighting coronaviruses, is that misinformation?
  • Post in thread: [SOLD] Renogy 2000watt pure sine wave inverter NIB complete

Bought this about a year and a half ago so its probably not going to be under warranty. This is the first time its been out of the box, to take pictures. Comes complete as shown with remote, pos and neg cables. Plans changed not gonna need this big of a capacity. Prefer local meet in San Diego...

  • Post in thread: Can the electrical grid handle a boom in electric vehicles?

That may be but its certainly not an aspect I was concerned with. Id be more interested in stats involving danger to themselves or their family members. The few CCW holders we have here are thoroughly vetted if they pass them out like candy that wouldnt last.

Do you pedal it or is that one of those power wheels? Seriously though that color... Dont tell us you have a modified (loud) exhaust too. Theres no way you can drive it fast shouting to the world (police) "look at my fast car!" When I bought my '86 C4 coupe it was silver beige, that kinda...

Get copy and paste where I posted that 2+2=5. Thats how it works. Stop trolling.
  • Post in thread: Alternator to battery wires

You dont need to run additional grounds if the alternator is sufficiently grounded. Remember that the circuit youre connecting to is the vehicle chassis. Thats all anything needs to be grounded to.
  • Post in thread: One of the saddest stories I have seen.

That was doable in san diego bay over 30 years ago. Slip spaces are super expensive now. Back in the early 80s a navy buddy had a 35' chris craft yacht. Dock space was less than $200 and even though the boat hadnt run in years it was pretty classy.
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

Why are you fabricating things Ive never commented on? Why dont you stick to what Ive posted here instead, which is that: 1, solid, verifiable evidence exists that the 2020 election was rigged, I provided a link to support that. 2, thusly, Donald Trumps claims prior to and on jan 6 were not...

  • Post in thread: Trump

That looks like something constructed by a pink haired ambiguous pronoun feminazi supporting cuck that would ride something like This could construct. No lifelong republican would get 10ft near getting on that little contraption.

  • Post in thread: Future of DIY LiFePO4 looks bleak…

I have about 40 years experience doing wiring on aircraft in the navy then a variery of 12v projects in competition car audio and customizing cars. When I saw videos showing the guts of low end chinese lifepo4 batteries I figured Id build my own, even if the cost worked out higher. Not everyone...

You might feel he is a troll due to his polarized (from your) views. On some things he has posted I would actually take your side, though wouldnt agree he is trolling if he believes what he posts and has references. It doesnt add credibility to your argument when you speculate his presence is...
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

Without looking at the details of that I am reminded that two debacles occurred- 9/11 happened under Bush Jr, Covid 19 happened under Trump, and I wonder why the cutoff date for that starts at such an odd year as... 1989? Why not 1980? And what kind of jobs were these? Service jobs like those...
  • Post in thread: Can the electrical grid handle a boom in electric vehicles?

What actions would you have taken after 9/11? Do you have any idea what the congressional roll call in both houses was on the bill that launched the war in afghanistan? Over 600 elected officials, there was ONE SINGLE dissenting vote. You pretend we made some blatantly obvious mistake, who had...
  • Post in thread: Car audio... Lol

The set of horns and 8" mid bass were $1500 around 2000. I just sold the mid bass drivers on ebay for $200. They sold an hour after I listed them, I guess someone was watching for them. They were sturdy but nothing exotic.
  • Post in thread: Half price electric cars

"You can go on Ebay motors and get a 2012 Nissan Leaf, which people do, and upgrade the battery packs from the original NiCd with a simple module." Wow do you pull stuff out of your ass like that often? Thats complete nonsense. I think everyone on this site knows that the BMS and charging...
