I believe you are right. I was hoping that's what it was. https://dan-marcrvparts.com/product/30-amp-generator-transfer-switch/

If you spread the load, it isnt 1000a. Here is a 1000a+ setup, but not for sustained throughput.

    Could you support 280a?

It might be the DC side as well. Are you using 24v or 48v? Even if it's 48v, if you have bad connections or if one battery has substantially less resistance you could be seeing problems with your batteries. Be sure to check all the connections under load.
  • Post in thread: A bolt by any other name, is still a bolt

I just went the grub screw and flange nut route. 15mm worked for me, but barely. 20mm would have been better. I added red loctite so I could torque the nuts. Buy the inactive metal variant. I went with what was on the shelf and they slipped a bit. Someone on here recommended taping the...
  • Post in thread: YES: RV Solar/ Li/ and AC running full time

This looks like a pretty good deal. The footprint is a bit bigger than what I'm looking for, but the other numbers looks pretty good. https://slickdeals.net/f/15195142-pioneer-12-000-btu-ductless-mini-split-19-seer-ac-heat-pump-inverter-system-699-free-store-pickup
  • Post in thread: DIY Bus Bar

How are you hooking up the 1000a inverter? I would assume that's some serious cabling there. That's why i'm suggesting a stud vs. a busbar. You can connect everything to a central point(the stud) that is sized for the combined load and distribute with cabling according to specific load. Each...
  • Post in thread: 6kw 48v system. which Growatt set up to get?

If you can wait 6months I might be able to report back. I got the 5000es and the 6000dvt. Still waiting on batteries and labor(mine).
  • Post in thread: bluetooth to wifi bridge/gateway?

In the files section there are some documents about setting up a raspberry pi instead of the cerbo gx. Seems easy enough, but I haven't done it.

https://diysolarforum.com/threads/anyone-use-lto-for-a-starting-battery.6670/post-403784 Here are some spec sheets for the cells I used. I'm still not entirely sure on the max c discharge rate, but I suspect it's more about cell life than delivery. For 28v you could probably do 11s and as...

Interesting again. Is the 5000es safe to run on us split phase?

https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/126/3246 https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/126/3397 There is a thread on how to install the grub screws. Use loctite on the screws and torque the nuts to spec.
  • Post in thread: DC Air Conditioner (minisplit/rooftop/anything)

That dc airco one looks sketchy. There are a few on ebay that might come from the us, but probably not. Honestly, I think getting them from the source is the only way to go right now. I like the mini split wall mount vs. the ceiling mount. I think we can them cheaper than the treeger on...
  • Post in thread: 2 Growatt SPF 5000 ES in parallel using 20 550W panels and 1 LifePO4 51.2V 200ah battery

Are you suggesting the 5000es can sustain Vmp up to 450v regardless of Voc rating?
  • Post in thread: growatt spf 6000t vs MPP LV6048

Anyone have a comparison? They both seem to have their downfalls. Concerns with the MPP: 145v Voc PV input / MPPT with MPPT at 60v - 115v 60a Utility charger Only 70lbs Concerns with the Growatt: Can't be parralleled Single CC @ 5kw total requires battery I have 10 panels @ 50.4Voc...
