I found the panel specs
Rated Power: 250W
Open circuit voltage (VOC): 37.6 V
Max power voltage (VMP): 30.3 V
Short circuit current (ISC): 8.85 A
Max power current: 8.27 A
Power Tolerance 0/+3%
Maximum system voltage: 600V (UL)
Fuse Rating: 15 A
I bought 12 for starters. Looks like I can run...
Thanks for the advice. I do have an xfer panel installed from about 8 years ago that is a gen ready panel that I use for running my portable 12K propane generator. I use it in manual xfer mode with my portable gens. I will connect the inverter to that panel input which is 100A.input. Inverters...
Samlex looks like a quality unit. If they only make them a little larger capacity. Seems like we have to go with Growatt or MPP to get higher capacities
Well, I give up. I can run either inverter on either string of PV one at a time and the AC is steady at 120v. When I connect one inverter to PV, one runs off the battery correctly and one off of the connected PV, voltage is steady on both. I just can't run both inverters on PV at the same time...
What values do you guys run in options 12,13 and 29 when in USE? With solar assistant and eg4 batteries, you can't use the SOC option true? Can I get some of your settings please?
I can't tell, do you have one or two inverters? I am also trying to find information on how to connect my generator which is 50a 240V. A wiring diagram would be nice.
Rheem has two brand new models that run on 120v that should fit the bill. Rheem ProTerra Hybrid Electric uses less energy to operate than a classic 100 Watt incandescent light bulb
Would be great for solar power maybe...
I will be mounting solar panels on two flatbed utility trailers, one 18 ft and one 12 ft long. I have a 3-acre flat lawn area that I can use to position them. This way I can be mobile and take them with me when I move and avoid the county nonsense. Wondering the best way to ground them, an 8 ft...
So after reading 20 pages of posts are we any closer to the correct way to setup/ wire two of these inverters in split-phase addressing the use or nonuse of the bonding screws when using the AC passthrough?.
Correct, one pole to each inverter. You need only one 60 amp breaker if you are running two inverters in split phase. These are 120volt inverters and you cannot hook one breaker to each inverter or you will be sending in 240 volts, a recipe for disaster. You have to split the hots and neutrals...
Should the PV array be grounded to the main panel, mine has a separate ground rod out in the yard. I want it to be correct, Thanks. Also waiting to hear about your inverter issues as well. Mine flickers and voltage on only one 6500 fluctuates like in your video
True, the box store Chinese generators have dirty power, Westinghouse, Duromax, Champion, etc. Only use a quality Winco or any of the few using a Mecc-Alte generator head or an inverter generator. Most inverter models are <3% THD by nature of design.
Nevermind. Turned everything on today and it's back to the same issue. Output all over the map on two strings of solar. It had about 1600 watts of pv when I checked. Can someone check their setup and see if theirs does this on solar. 2 EG4's in split phase with two batteries and 10 250w panels...
8k with good surge headroom for my deep well and crawlspace sump pumps. I am concerned with the pumps and not any HVAC units. I have looked at the 4248 and like it.
So if my generator is connected and running, the inverter will not produce electricity correct and the gen is passed through powering the loads. The inverter is out of the loop in this case, shut off, and comes on only to charge the batteries if needed. I just don't want the inverter and the...
