They are two 6500watt EG4 inverters in split phase. I have two 48-volt eg4 batteries to use. These batteries have/ come with foot long #4 cables for use in their battery rack, which I didn't purchase. The terminals on these batteries are very small, a 2 ought lug wont fit. They used #4 but I...
Thanks for the good info. I am not grid-tied, do I still need an SPD at the 50a input AC side?. My input comes off my main panel on a 50 A breaker. I can see at the AC out and then at the HVAC itself.
Maybe this for the inverter output panel and this at the furnace connection
I'm thinking along the same lines. The supply of panels is stateside so availability should hold for some time. 48-volt batteries are imported as are the inverters.
No not an outlet. I have a dedicated 15A circuit from my main panel that is right next to the inverters but not used for anything. Was wondering if I could use it.
Here's what I have found so far.
I have two strings of 5 250w panels, I see no grounding issues and they each read approximately the same voltage output with a meter.
The strings go to a dual PV isolator switch mounted near the inverters and from there one string to each pv1 input on the...
That was me on your YouTube channel. I will run more tests this weekend. Also, I updated solar Assistant to the latest version and it seems a bit unstable from the last version. Wondering if it could be reporting incorrectly.
Interesting. I am at the point in the installation where I need you guys help. I have the same breaker panel that Will uses in his video install and I have removed both bonding screws in the inverters as well. picture below. I notice that he has the green bonding screw installed and the grounds...
I'm new at this but why would you buy these over a cheaper 48volt rack mount battery for $1500?. I don't get it. What is the difference in power in a 48v configuration?
I have two EG4 inverters which are feeding a transfer switch that is in the main panel in the house where neutral and ground are of course bonded. Both inverter internal bonding screws are removed and the neutral, ground, and L1, and L2 from the inverters are kept separate and run directly to...

Looks like if you're on social security they pay 100 percent of the cost at the point of purchase.
"It depends.
If it is a single inverter that does dynamic NG bonding, then no; you should not remove the screw.
If it is stacked with more than one inverter then Yes, you should remove the screw on all but one of them."

That makes sense, thanks. Should I re-install a bonding screw in one inverter as I saw suggested on here a while back? This is an interesting subject. Thanks for your time, sir.
I noticed today after the inverters randomly shut down again that I was showing roughly 75 volts coming in on PV2 to inverter#2. This is the first time I have noticed this and I have no input/ connection to PV2. My solar arrays connect one to each inverter on PV1.
Interesting.
I see a lot of posts with wall-mounted inverters and 3/4 liquidtite PVC flexible conduit running along the drywall to the panels. Is this ok to do running along drywall?.Also, I have an interior wall to run #6 wire thru to get to my panel. Can I put a box on one side and another directly across...
Just get one of these and some panels and wire accordingly. https://signaturesolar.com/eg4-6-5k-off-grid-inverter-6500ex-48/?setCurrencyId=1&gclid=CjwKCAjws--ZBhAXEiwAv-RNLx9E5htcSPumRB18OSVxAptxF4IbQe1pb202mqKXC973IdQJ0EQHqxoC-vsQAvD_BwE
