Has anyone come up with a way to remotely reboot Solar Assistant over the internet or wi fi?.

You have to use a new cat 5 cable, cut one plug off and only use the brown and brown/white wires connected to the correct polarity in the video. Reuse the circuit board end and throw away the two wire ss cable.

Can someone explain how ac pass-through works? Is the inverter outputting when the LCD displays AC pass-through when I connect my generator to charge the batteries or is the generator charging batteries and powering the loads exclusively and not going through the inverter?

I suppose this is not done often then.

batteries are connected to load, inverters to line like I have it wired I hope.

THNN #6 wire is fine coming from the inverter to the panel, that's what Will used in his as well.

I think it would be good to use them to lessen the shock on the inverters. Why aren't these mentioned in any manuals

So rip out those two small plastic boxes, install larger metal boxes with more room to work, and use two pieces 3.5 long 3/4 PVC between the two thru the wall? Then from inside box to panel with what I call bx cable. How would you do it?.

Worked for me. When I received my inverters, the two black cables were wired differently. I paid no attention to pinouts and cut off a cat 5 and used the brn and brn/wht wires on the circuit board end as the video states, then everything worked fine.

I have two EVG 6500 inverters and two rack batteries and my well pulls almost 40 Amps inrush on each leg when it starts up. It runs the well with solar coming in but I have not tried it at night, batteries only.

Who has this cable? Can't read it.

I agree, you can tell where the software is coming from and it's not ready for prime time for sure. Mine still won't connect.

Thanks for the link. He says if I read it correctly, that his well pump pulls 1500 watts per leg which is not much at all. May not be a deep well like ours. The main reason for me is to power my deep well and I can't find any examples yet of these inverters powering a 1-1.5 hp submersible pump...

Do you think two of these inverters can handle that inrush current?.

Well, I give up. I can run either inverter on either string of PV one at a time and the AC is steady at 120v. When I connect one inverter to PV, one runs off the battery correctly and one off of the connected PV, voltage is steady on both. I just can't run both inverters on PV at the same time...

Any more info on this?.

Output is still all over the place on solar but 120v steady on battery. It's late in the day with little PV input but it read the same at 1500w PV input, batteries fully charged. From 101 to 146v I've seen.

You are correct. Cvt or fero resonant transformers are a more involved but superior solution.

"Gen mode". Do you have your generator connected to the AC input? If so what size wire are you using?. I would like to do that as well once I figure out the issues.

Does anyone know the size of the case screws on these inverters? They are too damn small to work with. I am guessing 2 or 2.5 mm and looking for some thumbscrews that will work in their place.
