Is the EG4 18Kpv the best choice for my new installation? Your thoughts please!

Sounds good, Well, the 30 kwh would be accurate with the whole house on the grid and includes 110v and 240v loads. But being I am only going to use the 18k for the 240v loads, I would have to somehow separate that from the 30kwh to figure out what that draw would be. What I am hoping is that (3)...

Is the EG4 18Kpv the best choice for my new installation? Your thoughts please!

well, the 30 kwh of course includes my whole house on the grid. During the day or whenever I run it, all my 110 loads would be run with my other inverter, not the 18k. So it is hard to tell by my meter what just those 240v loads would be.

Is the EG4 18Kpv the best choice for my new installation? Your thoughts please!

Just trying to figure out how many eg4 batteries I need to work with the 18k to make it through the night running my well pump, hotwater heater and heat pump.

The EG4 18kPV is now CEC listed

Quite a system you have there. Well, with all you are running. I am more convinced that one 18k can run my 3/4 hp well pum, hot water heater, 2.5 ton heat pump / ac with soft start, dryer and range. No 110 loads. Only those (5) 240v loads and only the well pump and hot water heater will be the...

Is the EG4 18Kpv the best choice for my new installation? Your thoughts please!

Well, I checked the reading last night at 5pm and had 64272 and this morning at 9am it was 64300. So I multiplied that by 3 and divided that number by 88%. So the kwh usage 64300 - 64272 = 28 x 3 = 84 divided by 88% = 95.45. So I am not sure where to go next with these figures to be able to...

Is the EG4 18Kpv the best choice for my new installation? Your thoughts please!

Thank you, you have a great 4th also. The heat pump / AC unit is a brand new (3 weeks old) 2.5 ton Carrier unit. Sits outside and provides central air to the house. It works with my furnace.

EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Oh, sorry, must have forgotten a word there. I will be off grid only. 18k will NOT be tied to the grid.

Is the EG4 18Kpv the best choice for my new installation? Your thoughts please!

Thanks so much James: I appreciate that feedback / info. I have a system in place now taking care of all my 110 v loads. But getting that 240 volt load taking care of takes a bit more research. So either the 18K or the Schneider would only be doing my 240 volt loads. Looking at people installing...

    Decisions, choices

Just glanced on the interent for basic costs and your right. About the same for a heat pump water heater or an eg4 rack battery.

EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

No, only monthly. I guess I would have to call them and ask if they could provide it.

    EG4 18KPV Grid Draw

Thanks for that follow up info Gavin. Enjoy your videos! Here I would only be running my 240v loads - NO 120 volts loads. And of course, like you stated in one of your videos, one has to be smart on what you can run and not run. So my main unit that I would not have any choice in is the well...
