Considering how fast they discontinued these inverters, I think it would make sense. They obviously knew there were hardware deficiencies and decided to remove them from their lineup.
The 6000 ex issues of dirty power, lights flickering, computer UPS tripping. etc still exist and no resolution...
It’s recommend that you keep all grounding screws, and add if they were initially missing.
Where is your NG bond?
The latest firmware should allow you to control NG bond. If you are relying on the inverter for NG bond then I think you need to use setting 42 disabled.
If you want to fix the...
SA will show the Highest and Lowest Cell voltages, and also the Average cell voltage for each battery. This is sufficient enough to identify how balanced your batteries are.
I've noticed that my 6000EX sometimes freezes and won't register setting. After 5-10 minutes I'll try again and the setting will finally register.
I assume the clock stops ticking, and when the system recovers the clock will resume. A significant differential in time will be the result of...
You can setup an automation with changes every 10 minutes or even smaller windows to fine tune your system..
I’ve also messaged Solar Assistant to consider other conditions like PV current so on a cloudy day when PV is low, I can increase charge current.. Another useful one would be inverter or...
I have the 6000ex on the latest firmware and am experiencing the flickering lights, dimmers continuously turning on and off, UPS switching on and off, etc.
My dimmers are doing the same thing seen here. Do I need to replace all 10 dimmers to make it stop?
This thread has a lot to say about...
Solar Assistant will not show individual battery information when using EG4 mode and invert values.
To change battery capacity, you need to:
1) click disconnect under inverter/battery settings
2) click advanced
3) manually input your total battery capacity (which should be 10.2 kWh for two...
As mentioned above, it’s hard to really determine SOC based on voltage, but for what it’s worth my EG4 (v2) batteries show similar as yours. Typically around 51.8V SOC is 14-18%.
UPS mode does seem to have a faster switchover time from SUB to SBU and does not disrupt any of my appliances.
However, switchover from SBU to SUB is horrible and many of my electronics lose power during this switchover.
Is that diagram what your electrician provided you? If that’s how he wired it then I’d find a new electrician.
Did you setup the inverter to charge the battery and what’s the battery SOC voltage?
FYI. EG4 6000XP is In Stock at Current Connected. Their site says they have 52 units.
Signature Solar still shows anticipated shipments of mid January.
I would just continue to utilize your system if it works for you.
You can take advantage of the free energy to lower your electricity bill or offset the cost of the units, and explore how you can transition into a larger permanent system. Also, you might as well put your units in service...
I just received a reply from Solar Assistant and was advised to install the Beta version to resolve this issue.
I’ll install Beta once I’m approved and I’ll report back.
I’m on the latest firmware and have been waiting patiently for a resolution the flicker and pulsing power issues with the 6000ex.
Seems like their solution was to discontinue the 6000ex and replace it with a newer inverter, 6000xp .
Are you Signature Solar and EG4 guys going to help us out...
You set charge source priority to solar and utility as I suggested.
Well, if you’re confident that everything is working then I guess your issue has been resolved.
Your prior graphs posted never showed the grid charging on. Why is that? ??
Here’s the other grounding screws they ask you to look for as well. Take pictures of everything while you’re there.

I recent got my 6000EX up and running. The WIFI and SolarPower APP does enough for me to remotely monitor and change setting on my system. The only issue is the lack of real-time data, but it has historical data with time stamps with updates every 5 minutes. It will show daily generation...
