First time posting here. But I’ve definitely gained a lot of knowledge from everyone. I’ve been using a pair of LV6548’s in split phase for 10 months without issue. They are solid units. We are essentially off grid at this point and just use grid as a backup during extended cloudy or rainy...
  • Post in thread: Required Action for all users: Disable all email notifications right now! Thank you

Join the forum then complain about the forum. Lesser people may have just chosen to leave the forum. But I suppose you’re sticking it out to “make changes from within” or something? Im not sure the point here.
  • Post in thread: EG4 6500EX Lights flickering

Honestly I wish I could formulate a better reply but I’m still a bit stunned. Plus it’s been a long work day. But I wanted to say thank you Ben. You reacted with some emotion. But my original post had some emotion in it also. I’d like to message you some thoughts tomorrow. Again, thank you.
  • Post in thread: New notification behavior WTF????

Yeah I noticed this as well. I am getting loads of notifications. And are we all going to ignore the fact that Will just used the word “fiddlesticks” towards the beginning of this thread? ?#retrogrammar
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

i think a decibel reading from the inverter would be nice. At idle and max output. I get more and more questions along those lines from people. I think the manual has somethmnijg on it. But real world readings would be cool.
  • Post in thread: Terrible Signature Solar / EG4 18Kpv Experience - Returning and Replaced with Sol-Ark 15k

Wow that’s a heck of an inductive load to start. The 18kpv is a beast though.

I will say though. Everyone has the right to call it quits whenever they want. He has the right to just send the unit back. I also get where Will is coming from. He needs evidence based content.
  • Post in thread: Problems with Eg4 6500ex buyer beware.

I’ve dealt with current connected and watts247. Both reply within a couple hours with tech support and feedback. I had seen some negative reviews about signature solar, but then you see a few replies from people saying “that’s never been the case for me” and I foolishly rolled the dice. It’s a...
  • Post in thread: RESOLVED: EG4 6500EX and 6000EX Lights Flickering FIRMWARE

I’m likely that “guy”. ? SS already refunded me in full. Still really happy to see they found a remedy. I know they are also. That couldn’t have been easy. By their description it sounded like an Episode of NCIS.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

I can attest to the fact that you guys have remedied the issue with lights. After having problems in the past, I now have a pair of eg4 6500’s that are running flawlessly. I realize it’s off subject but I figured I’d throw that in there.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Completely off grid. I haven’t actually run grid through the unit since I installed it.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Having used the 18kpv off grid for a few weeks I’d agree. Better to have something with a few features you don’t need, then sacrifice others aspects that you may need.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

I would assume the extra Pv either goes to charging batteries, or selling back to the grid if you have a net metering agreement. Most every hypbrid inverter has a higher Pv intake then it’s output capacity. Which is nice. You can power your loads at max capacity and and still put the extra...
  • Post in thread: 120V on the PV line?? Discussion of Will's video

Stop sucking up to the forum owner.
  • Post in thread: EG4 Chargeverter

Well, this went in an interesting direction. I think the next year will be crucial for SS. As far as communication and customer service that is. The growth of the company vs customer satisfaction is really going to be the thing to keep an eye on. Also I do agree, they are the ones with the...
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Utility companies in my area are phasing net metering out completely because they have massive solar farms in production. I’m sure there are other factors involved as well. I think it’s a shame in a way. It was a chance for people to recoup the cost of their system faster. I’m more interested...
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

That thing is a pleasure to install. I made a video on it if YouTube would ever upload it. Honestly I expected it to be more difficult. The wiring compartment is huge!
  • Post in thread: Too Powerful of a Generator for EG4 Chargeverter

Maybe I’m just not understanding the question correctly. But the output amperage of the generator is always going to depend on the device being used. If the chargereverter uses 26 amps at 240v. Then that’s all the generator will be supplying.
  • Post in thread: Midnite Solar Announced their new 10kw AIO at Intersolar Today

This sounds impressive. I love competition like this in the market.
  • Post in thread: EG4 Chargeverter

    Really?
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

No matter what size building you choose you’ll always wish you went bigger. Pay the extra for a quality insulation when they install it. And get a real garage door. Those roll up types are cheap and can’t be insulated.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

There may be some kinks in the grid assist functionality that I’m not aware of? I’ve been using it off grid for weeks. I’m hoping to make another video this next week. It would be funny to describe an inverter as “fun” I guess. But maybe I’m strange that way. It’s fun having it. Honestly it’s...
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Adam Delay mentioned the 12v line to me. I asked SS and I’m waiting on a response as to the amperage. That’s strange, I could have sworn my hard copy of the manual listed the measuments for the knockouts. I’ll have to look again when I get home. I do see it isn’t in the manual online. Those...
  • Post in thread: Spam Attacks

I appreciate it. The whole thing was odd. It wasn’t even the usual spam like “click here to win” or something. Just loads of Chinese writing. More like an attack really.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

No it can only charge at 220 amps. Which is still impressive. That’s somewhere around 11.3 kw. So if you aren’t selling back to the grid the extra Pv wouldn’t be used.
  • Post in thread: An encouragement to those who have built their system

I left for work early last week. Normally the porch lights are on as I pass houses on my way to work. I noticed everything was dark. It wasn’t until that evening I heard from a nearby family member that the power had been out all night and the next morning due to high winds. That was part of...
  • Post in thread: Midnite Solar Announced their new 10kw AIO at Intersolar Today

I would prefer a video also. It should be very polished. Graphics and PowerPoint included.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

That’s awesome! Looking forward to hearing about the install/testing.
