First time posting here. But I’ve definitely gained a lot of knowledge from everyone. I’ve been using a pair of LV6548’s in split phase for 10 months without issue. They are solid units. We are essentially off grid at this point and just use grid as a backup during extended cloudy or rainy...
Join the forum then complain about the forum. Lesser people may have just chosen to leave the forum. But I suppose you’re sticking it out to “make changes from within” or something? Im not sure the point here.
Honestly I wish I could formulate a better reply but I’m still a bit stunned. Plus it’s been a long work day. But I wanted to say thank you Ben. You reacted with some emotion. But my original post had some emotion in it also. I’d like to message you some thoughts tomorrow. Again, thank you.
Yeah I noticed this as well. I am getting loads of notifications.
And are we all going to ignore the fact that Will just used the word “fiddlesticks” towards the beginning of this thread? ?#retrogrammar
i think a decibel reading from the inverter would be nice. At idle and max output. I get more and more questions along those lines from people. I think the manual has somethmnijg on it. But real world readings would be cool.
I will say though. Everyone has the right to call it quits whenever they want. He has the right to just send the unit back. I also get where Will is coming from. He needs evidence based content.
I’ve dealt with current connected and watts247. Both reply within a couple hours with tech support and feedback.
I had seen some negative reviews about signature solar, but then you see a few replies from people saying “that’s never been the case for me” and I foolishly rolled the dice. It’s a...
I’m likely that “guy”. ? SS already refunded me in full. Still really happy to see they found a remedy. I know they are also. That couldn’t have been easy. By their description it sounded like an Episode of NCIS.
I can attest to the fact that you guys have remedied the issue with lights. After having problems in the past, I now have a pair of eg4 6500’s that are running flawlessly. I realize it’s off subject but I figured I’d throw that in there.
Having used the 18kpv off grid for a few weeks I’d agree. Better to have something with a few features you don’t need, then sacrifice others aspects that you may need.
I would assume the extra Pv either goes to charging batteries, or selling back to the grid if you have a net metering agreement. Most every hypbrid inverter has a higher Pv intake then it’s output capacity.
Which is nice. You can power your loads at max capacity and and still put the extra...
Well, this went in an interesting direction. I think the next year will be crucial for SS. As far as communication and customer service that is. The growth of the company vs customer satisfaction is really going to be the thing to keep an eye on.
Also I do agree, they are the ones with the...
Utility companies in my area are phasing net metering out completely because they have massive solar farms in production. I’m sure there are other factors involved as well. I think it’s a shame in a way. It was a chance for people to recoup the cost of their system faster.
I’m more interested...
That thing is a pleasure to install. I made a video on it if YouTube would ever upload it. Honestly I expected it to be more difficult. The wiring compartment is huge!
Maybe I’m just not understanding the question correctly. But the output amperage of the generator is always going to depend on the device being used. If the chargereverter uses 26 amps at 240v. Then that’s all the generator will be supplying.
No matter what size building you choose you’ll always wish you went bigger. Pay the extra for a quality insulation when they install it. And get a real garage door. Those roll up types are cheap and can’t be insulated.
There may be some kinks in the grid assist functionality that I’m not aware of? I’ve been using it off grid for weeks. I’m hoping to make another video this next week. It would be funny to describe an inverter as “fun” I guess. But maybe I’m strange that way. It’s fun having it. Honestly it’s...
Adam Delay mentioned the 12v line to me. I asked SS and I’m waiting on a response as to the amperage.
That’s strange, I could have sworn my hard copy of the manual listed the measuments for the knockouts. I’ll have to look again when I get home. I do see it isn’t in the manual online. Those...
I appreciate it. The whole thing was odd. It wasn’t even the usual spam like “click here to win” or something. Just loads of Chinese writing. More like an attack really.
No it can only charge at 220 amps. Which is still impressive. That’s somewhere around 11.3 kw. So if you aren’t selling back to the grid the extra Pv wouldn’t be used.
I left for work early last week. Normally the porch lights are on as I pass houses on my way to work. I noticed everything was dark. It wasn’t until that evening I heard from a nearby family member that the power had been out all night and the next morning due to high winds.
That was part of...
