    6000XP in off-grid mode?

Thank you ScrotusGobbleBottom. I was misunderstanding the on grid EOD setting. I set it to a couple volts (46v) above my low voltage warning (44v) and it immediately started doing what I want. That should be good to switch back to grid before the batteries get too low. Everything looks happy...

    6000XP in off-grid mode?

Thanks. I'm using a couple of dumb 25.6v lifepo4 batteries in series until I can afford the indoor 14kwh eg4 model in a few months. So there's no battery communication at the moment. I'll fiddle with the setting you mentioned and see if I can get it to do what I want.

    6000XP in off-grid mode?

Can anyone explain to me how to get my new 6000XP out of bypass mode? I'd like to have it set up so that it runs off-grid all the time, unless the battery is drained, at which time it'd use the grid connection to power the loads. Right now, even though the battery is full, it's just bypassing...

Growatt MIC 3000TL-X can't remember what time it is

If you can get connected to the wifi dongle via the built-in access point, you should able to make this configuration change. That's actually the preferred/documented way to make it work in the US. In my case though, while I could connect to the access point, I was never able to actually connect...

Growatt MIC 3000TL-X can't remember what time it is

I think the main advantage of the Shine app is that I can actually see my generation stats. Before getting it to work, I basically just saw my total lifetime amount generated, and once it got over 1MWh, the significant digits went away and I had no real insight. For the mounting on this...

Growatt MIC 3000TL-X can't remember what time it is

<one year later> I figured out that the Growatt USB dongle was trying to connect to server.growatt.com, which kept failing because it's in China. I went through a whole rigamarole to get it pointed at server-us.growatt.com and it has been working great ever since. More details can be found in...

Growatt servers not showing data? This fixed it for me.

I just want to share my experience with getting the Growatt wifi to work that came with my MIC 3000TL-X devices bought from Signature Solar. I bought the first one last year, and was never able to figure it out. I just tried again tonight because I just commissioned a second one with some cheap...

What kind of connector is this? SunPower MI-C-320

I recently acquired a SunPower MI-C-320-US208/240 microinverter for some experimentation. It has big fat, waterproof connectors on it and I am wondering if anyone knows what they are called and where I can find the materials to build a whip to convert it to bare leads. Part numbers on the labels...

Growatt MIC 3000TL-X can't remember what time it is

I also had issues with the WiFi adapter but didn't think to change the clock after I removed it. I'll try that, thanks for the tip!

110v to 230V via a step up transformer.

Just out of curiosity, is it a split-phase inverter meant for the US? If it is, you'd be able to measure 120V across L1 and N, or L2 and N, but 240V between L1 and L2. Could just be a measurement mistake? Or really the wrong inverter for your market? Could you provide a make and model number for...

Ready to jump in the solar world

As @littleharbor2 mentioned, you have to take reviews with a grain of salt. I understood what I was buying going into it, and I've been very happy with the results of my little experiment over the past 8 months. It has given me enough confidence at a low enough price point to now consider...

Ideas for covering base load while on-grid?

I've got both a Tesla solar system on the roof of my house, and a DIY ground-mount system in my backyard, and between the two I cover my pool pump and EV charging during the day, with the excess being sold back to SCE for a few pennies. Outside of solar hours, my base load is about 0.4kWh...

    Panel recommendations

Since you're doing this off-grid, you probably don't need to follow building codes to the letter, as long as you make it safe enough that you are comfortable with it. Not knowing your latitude, it's hard to recommend anything specific, as being more southerly will allow for smaller/fewer panels...

Ready to jump in the solar world

If the refrigerator you mention really only pulls 65w of power at 12V, that's about 5.5A. So if you have a 200AH LFP battery, you could run it for ~36 hours before the battery is completely drained. 200/5.5. If you have 400W of power going into the battery, and are only pulling 65W out, you...

    Panel recommendations

Are you looking for used or new hardware for this project? 5'x12' is just not a lot of space. Doing some quick math based on some used 250W panels I bought recently, if you stretch your space slightly you could fit 4 of them in that space. They are 39.1"x65", so slightly longer than 5ft and 3'3"...
