I have convinced my self to get the 12v/3000w Victron multiplus. Nice all in one package. Just about ready to pull the trigger, abut I keep thinking about 24v systems are more efficient. I have not purchased solar panels yet. My system is only 2 4cell LiFePo batteries under the bed replacing my...
@HRTKD you bring up a good point. I really didnt think those motors for trailer stabilizers would draw that much power. I need to check the manual. I too was going to make s 24v system and then have step down transformer at the power center for 12v side.. might not work huh. I do NOT have...
JDM Smart BMS
4x 280ah 12v
120ah
cheap $85 w/Bluetooth
Not Satisfied - bought 2 one for each 12v pack, one died about 3 charge/discharge cycles, 1 going strong

ummm hey there... yes they do... it all depends on how long they are in parallel ... i had some 3.34 and 3.35.... If you let them sit long enough then sure they will balance out... could be days, or weeks or months depending on how many you have.
so on this topic... if you have the voltage 3.6v and amp 4.75, been like this for hours, its getting night time. can you leave the charger on all night? from wills vid you need to watch it waiting for it to drop off in current. this could be 10pm or 3am tonight. I really dont want to keep...
yes I did do the calculator that is how I found out my existing 6g would work for my 20ft run. Also the reason I am considering 24v system rather than 12 and 2/0 cables front to rear.
whoooo that's good sized at 70a... that is more than my power box now. Yes I see the 25a model. I think that...
@Scott Helmann thanks for the link. No i dont need to power the AC.. .thats not in the plan, we live in PNW, its not really that hot up here, not for that long. so not my worry, I have Generator if that happens. Thanks for the link, maybe i didn't mention it, but I also want a converter to...
yup yup fresh off the boat 280ah cells... they measured 3.29 but will and everyone says that doesn't mean crap... they are 8 cells in parallel setup. so yes currently pumping 3.6v at 4.75a into the parallel group. I just read some said 10 days it can take...
@chrisski yes another reason I'm looking at the Multi-plus. considering the AIMS are just as expensive ($1100 3kw) and Go Power ( $1500) I don't see any reason to not get the Multi-plus.
Below you will notice a typical BMS. if you unplug the balance cable (blue circle), from watching Wills vid, this shuts off the BMS. As in if you connect B- (blue leads) to Neg on battery, then attach meter to the C- ( black) and the battery positive, there should be 0v correct? I get 12v.
Is...
@willo
been there done that many times for things, its amazing what shows up in the UPS / Amazon drivers next few days
@elpulpo
thanks for sharing
@chrisski
is this automatic tilt, or a manual crank?
few questions,
1- I see comments about spacing, does anyone leave space to walk between...
yes I think were on same page.
WFCO would be a direct fit. however, IOTA if it was good for my LifePo4 batterie, i could go there. screw holes... bahhhh no problem. I do mods on million dollar semi equipment for a living, just not use to the engineering side.
I think your not quite understanding him... 4 cell 12 batter would only be a series setup. Not parallel. Parallel would be only 3.2v at (4x280ah)
if he put 4 12v batteries in series that would make it 48v right? Not many RV's run on48v. he said parallel so the amperage increments, not the voltage.
Ok, back on topic. so I did top them all up the other day. After paralleling them, I did get them all up to 4.3X v. Hooked up to the inverter with heat gun and started the discharge. If i keep doing discharge tests, I really need to get a measurement device/meter with supplemental PS. using my...
Hello everyone, I have see on many of wills vides he talks about getting connecting cables from his site. I cant find any? I picked up a Battery tester off Amazon,
--Tenergy 5-in-1 Battery Meter, Intelligent Cell Meter Digital Battery Checker
I don't see in the manual, the type of connector...
@100kwh-hunter Why would anyone buy up hundreds of these 18650 cells when it takes so many to get the V / Ah needed? I see this as a butt ton of work for marginal output. this doesn't even consider the connecting and containment.
yup dad retired few years back, out in Northern Nevada - Reno area.. a bit off grid, nothing out there, but maybe some stray cell signals in the winter when it snows.. so he called Nevada Power... some $45k for them to sink 4-7 poles out to his place. Nope, no credit for future use either . so...
agreed. so my plan is to go 24v battery up front, then use existing 6awg cables back to my current power bank. have a 24v - 12v converter to step back down for the 12v side of my power fuse panel. I have a PD9145ALV lifepo charger filling them back up. No solar yet.
yea true, forgot about the 220v being the 1500w, and 110v being much less. good point. Well its something to drain power. I can run that and heating gun or my other portable floor heater to drain down. ok, still need to find a cheep inverter.
