Please if it gets any worse I will be living in an off grid cardboard box made out of solar panels. Lol not really but I can’t afford paying 3 times my normal electric bill monthly. This was a pull from my limited 401k to get the bills back into what I can pay.
The problem is that the solar edge sends to the grid and I get 10 cents a kWh but pay over 20 cents kWh I just bought 26 kWh of batteries and a new inverter so changes a coming.
Can you give me a little details on how I would handle keeping the 12.8v batteries balanced if the cells in each would be balanced. I understand your saying that even thought the 3.4v cells in each 12v battery would be balanced but that the voltage in each 12.8v battery of the 51.2v groups...
Hi,
I have another thread but wanted to ask some specific questions since the other thread is getting off topic.
Because of cost and some for the Joy of playing around with batteries and cell balancing and just plain ole' love of learning. (ya there is more to it but ...)
Please excuse the...
Yes they are valwood 12.6 x 250ah. And are designed to be in 2p/4s etc. each has 200amp BMS with all the normal stuff included Bluetooth and low temp shut off but I. Texas that’s like 5 days a year on low temp.
Valwood has certified the setup with this configuration using 2P/4s or 3P/4s if I...
Hi,
I have a Solar Edge SE7600H-US Inverter that is setup to screw me by having it feed directly to the grid. Since the electricity companies rape solar customers now I need to get some batteries and feed to them and use my power and only send what is left over.
In the documentation I cant...

Is there any battery turn off relay besides Blue sea systems, and TE EV200A1ANA. Both of which are not UL Listed. The blue sea systems is marine listed and used by coast guard but nope inspector says must be UL listed. He claims they are out there but says it’s not his job to tell me what...
The old solar assistant pipes cable works for the 4800 R batteries, but does not work for the V5. Does anybody know how or what wires to re-crimp the end so that I can make it work with my V5 batteries?
I am using a SolArk 15 K and I have 16 pes V5 batteries in closed loop.
Thanks very much...
I just found out I need to use both sets of terminals. I have 4/0 welding wire from Victron and 2/0 for each 51.2v 250ah series string and 1/0 between batteries in string. I have 250 amp fuses in the Victron for each parallel string and a 500 amp fuse which will only trigger in with a problem...
Thanks, I will probably go with the V5 or the R version, just waiting for my super insane battle of wits with my inspector for 3 months so far. if he blesses the ESS Rapid shutdown which will also shutdown the DC bus then i will let Solark pick which flavor, I do like the V5 wifi dongle but I...
Was meaning if this doesn’t work
Each of the 200amp BMS in each 12.8v 250ah battery also has low temp shutoff and built in cell balancer at the 3.4v 250ah cell level. I also will be fully charging each 12.8v 250ah battery using 14.4v 20amp lifepo4 charger fully before putting in series.
See...
Any thoughts on Blue Sea’s option it has no continuous current and only uses power in switching 12v 7amp for 40ms.

It’s not UL certified but it’s Marine certified SAE & ISO. Will I have an issue with that?
Thanks again
I just got flagged needing a radio freq or remote battery disconnect for me 4P4S 16x12.8v 250ah setup that is in my garage. Any thoughts besides running 4/0 to outside of house?
