I have three of the lv5048's..The time at absorbtion can be set in the menu, the rub is that the absorbtion clock starts counting as soon as float voltage is reached. You would think you would want the clock to start once the bulk voltage is reached, but sadly no.. The automatic setting...

Switched the qnbbm connection point from midway on the interconnects to the ends. This has taken the wave out of the balance voltages.

You can't beat headways for the cost, at $1.00 per ah for lost capacity per pack. A couple of my packs needed two headways added on a single cell, at 8ah per cell the two gave 16ah to the one cell which in turn let me get 16ah out of every pack in the whole power wall for a $32.00 investment..

I cycled tested a few at 40ah, they were able to sustain 40amps. But they warmed up to what I would consider being hot.

I tried the ampper switch from Amazon, it stated a continuous 275amp rating. At a continuous 130amp load it was getting so hot it felt like it was going to melt. Was fine for a load of 75amp and under..

Lipos are a whole different animal 5c charge rates and 60c discharge...

You could try going cell to cell with a volt meter and varify the readings..

My byd powerwall has been very stable after interconnecting the cells. The other day I checked the wall and they cells were 5mv within balance at 50% capacity..

I think we are in uncharted waters with these BYD packs. I bet these packs were cycled a high current, with the massive heat syncs and fans. The negative buss bars look to be discolored from heat. I am getting 100ah out of my packs without any bms, the lower capacity cells are testing around...

My experience with these used byd's is not to charge them over 27v. I charge mine to 27.2v in bulk and then float at 27v all day. These voltages have been for me, set it and forget it... Takes about 3-7hrs on float to reach 96% charged. I have charged individual cells after the extended float...

I have a bunch of these byd's, all have the discoloration on the negative buss bar. My Byd's are playing nice with each other at 27.2v absorbtion for 5 min and constant float at 26.9v all day on solar. I have no bms, they are staying 20-60mv between cells.

Do you have the bypass enabled in the setup menu. By default it's off, I turned it on and my spa pump would put into bypass. Once I disabled it in the menu it never had a problem after..

I get a 12c temperature rise at 250amps 48v through 1/2 refrigeration soft copper pipe, at 120amps the copper is just a bit warm . Bluesea buss bars are rated up to a 40c rise in temperature.
