  • Post in thread: 144 kWh per day off grid system

144kWh is the anti-thesis of an entry level DIY project.
  • Post in thread: Gas-Powered Lawn Equipment Will Soon Be Banned In Cali, a broad category that includes generators.

Noise, yes. Fumes? C'mon man. That guy who legally spews black smoke out of his turbocharged diesel truck would equal hundreds of lawn mowers in seconds.
  • Post in thread: Installer bailed, trying to get project salvaged and up to code

'Billy Joe Bob's' solar strikes again. That guy should be embarrassed.
  • Post in thread: Howdy! Considering Bluetti AC200 Max

I have the AC200p plus B230 piggyback battery. Fwiw, don't bother with the Bluetti panels. Most any other less costly panels can work. I chose to get 5 Rich 200w panels. They don't fold, but they are easily moved inside and outside if needed. I hook them up in series and am generating power in...
  • Post in thread: What do you think, Battery prices going up or down by 2023?

My motto, and what I mention to folks who are like-minded, is to get at least a years supply of things that you need and like, that don't cost a mass amount, and don't take up much room. Beyond that, use your critical thinking skills and don't trust the government.
  • Post in thread: How to avoid the tremendous hidden taxes on solar and related equipment.

Then there is the ubiquitous 'drinking while internet shopping' tax.
  • Post in thread: 320ah Cells Ordered.

Fwiw... There is no such entity as 'Hong Kong Air'. My $10 says they made this up. Besides, it doesn't make sense that a package 'left' Hong Kong air. What does that even mean? In addition, neither Hong Kong Airlines, nor Air Hong Kong, conducts flights to the U.S.
  • Post in thread: Do this first before getting a wind turbine.

The strong westerly winds through the Columbia River gorge would shred most wind turbines. No need to do a site survey there.
  • Post in thread: Anyone notice the price of solar panels?

The moment that M1 (one of the money supply indicators) started shooting almost straight up, the fix was in. Anyone who knows anything about fiat currency knew that inflation would eventually skyrocket, and those who believed the bogus government propaganda have been duped this whole time. This...
  • Post in thread: Using solar generator to power Natural gas furnace

My AC200P runs my Goodman gas furnace just fine, with a pull of 635 watts. First I made a custom 3 wire electrical cord (standard extension with female end cut off). Then I shut the power off to the house (to replicate outage), then I isolated the furnace AND the digital thermostat from the...
  • Post in thread: Anyone Have the Bluetti EB200?

Oddly, these are not on the Bluetti website.
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

Two reasons why I added a regular lifepo4 battery to my bluetti system...lower cost per watt of storage and the fact that the Bluetti already has a built-in solar charge controller. We get great sun hours here for 4 months so I could get near 6kw on a good day from my 5 panels. I regret that I...
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

I just bought a 12v200ah Power Queen lifepo4, plus their 20a AC charger ($815 total plus tax) as an addition to my AC200p + B230 piggyback battery. In grid down scenario I plan on charging the battery via the AC charger directly from my Bluetti AC200P while my 1kw of panels generates 700+...
  • Post in thread: What's the point?

We have had completely cloudy and wet weather here where it is normally much more drier. Aircraft had nothing to do with it. In fact, we are thankful for not having scorching weather like others are. Many thousands of aircraft fly over the entire U.S. every single day, even where skies are...
  • Post in thread: Howdy! Considering Bluetti AC200 Max

My Bluetti showed 740 watts max being generated when I had 1kw of panels hooked up, and that is what I was told and read is reasonable. You should see somewhere the same with your 1kw of panels, assuming that everything is in proper working order.
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

I think I got the cable back when these first came out, but it may be separate now. https://www.bluettipower.com/products/external-battery-connection-cable?variant=40820255162543 B230 page - https://www.bluettipower.com/products/b230-battery-pack
  • Post in thread: What happened to the 24v DIY system web page?

Thanks, OP, for bringing this subject up. I too had wondered where that page went? Now let's do our part and hit that page everyday to bring the page count up! ;)

  • Post in thread: Will this fry my solar charge controller?

I would love to know what panels produce 100% of their rated watts. Does anybody have these 'magical' panels?
  • Post in thread: Time to buy batteries, Feedback would be super.

For only $200 more than the equivalent Chins (two 12v200ah), that EG4 is the way to go.
  • Post in thread: Anywhere in the US I can get -- 240V 50HZ 5Kw generators -- I need like 80 of them.

I would like to be a fly on the wall when you approach a supplier for EIGHTY generators. That's like how many FEMA would try to source.

  • Post in thread: Anyone notice the price of solar panels?

Numbers don't lie regardless of who publishes them. To dismiss that is truly myopic.
  • Post in thread: Preparing for WW3

Back on topic... :) Here is my small metal can homemade faraday bucket. Holds the Bluetti components and 3 GMRS radios. Unfortunately the AC200P will (barely) not fit in a large metal garbage can. I will probably end up wrapping the original boxes (including B200) in a crap ton of foil. Who...
  • Post in thread: Best LifePo4 charge controller settings known to man for Maximum Service life and Minimum battery stress!!! 5,000-10,000+ cycles?

Mining for all the metal ingredients that make up all kinds of batteries is harmful to the environment as well. We all gotta pick our poison.
  • Post in thread: What do you think, Battery prices going up or down by 2023?

All the talk about rolling blackouts, grid sabotage, etc. SHOULD cause demand to go up. We shall see, but I decided to not wait and find out but rather snagged me a Power Queen 200ah 'plus' while free shipping still exists.
