Deye will activate remote control if you email them at service@deye.com.cn. Also they will reduce the data refresh interval to 1min if you ask them so solarman will update every 1min instead of 5min
95% of 12V LFP batteries don't support series connections. If your ones support that then you can use battery V mode without any issues. I use my 5K-SG03LP1-EU with JK BMS in battery V mode. Works perfectly
Not really gonna happen with Chinese products. Chinese usually doesn't copy Chinese. Deye/Lux will sue the copycats.
Powmr is copying voltronic designs because voltronic is Taiwanese
Victron prices absolutely tanked in Australia
Multiplus II 5kW is just USD813
3kW model is just USD553

Ok I ended up rewiring and breaking the string to 2. 4 panels and 5 panels.
Deye MPPT starting voltage is advertised as 150V but my 4 panel string goes below that to like 146V under load but it works perfectly fine.
I bought a 5KW deye to replace my Growatt SPF5000ES with 9 panels 540w in string. I have read the datasheets and manual before buying and there is no mention of the limit of 3250W per MPPT on these documents. Even the seller said 9 x 540W panels in single string would work fine. I didn't want to...
Deye had it before you decided to rebrand it.

Not just regular consumers, industry experts like @HighTechLab seem to believe Sol-Ark's BS.
@HighTechLab , Here is the same inverter installed in Nigeria 3 years ago.
I guess Sol-Ark was field testing the 5kW inverter in poor countries 2.5 years before they introduced it in the US lol...
Sunsynk is the same as Deye but it runs a different UI firmware. These inverters got 2 separate firmware for LCD and Inverter itself. Inverter firmware is same for both Deye and Sunsynk. Sunsynk is owned by Deye
These 2 modes were released back in February for Sunsynk/Deye inverters. Explanation video here,
Looks like these 2 options were made available to Sol-Ark by Deye now.
Not comprehensive as Powerview? You are dreaming. Powerview is a different skin for the Solarman business app which Deye uses. Deye uses the real deal while Sol-ark fools everybody with their own wannabe Solarman so people like you find comfort in thinking you are not using Chinese things. Name...
Deye will activate remote control if you email them at service@deye.com.cn. Also they will reduce the data refresh interval to 1min if you ask them so solarman will update every 1min instead of 5min
lol you are dreaming if you think they can sell you a battery with 16 of these brand new cells, BMS and a case while making a profit for $1230 each.
Dawnice is using used cells. I have a friend who bought 2 of their 5kwh batteries for $900 each about an year ago
Buy from here - https://sun-link.en.alibaba.com/ I bought 3x Growatts and a Deye 5Kw SG03LP01-EU from them. My friends bought at least 5X Growatts and 3 Deyes from them. They ship on the same day and provide excellent warranty service
Sunsynk and Deye uses same core firmware with different UI firmware. Same version numbers. Both Deye, Sunsynk gets updated every month or so. Deye isn't old.
I have never seen a company that gives their IP to a contract manufacturer in China and say "Hey do whatever you wish using our IP outside the US, we don't care"
Nice work :-) How did you do it? Also I have seen some chinese sellers advertising US versions of Deye on Facebook. Sol-Ark exclusivity might be gone now judging by the production date
Truth is Sol-Ark probably saw the Deye at a tradeshow and decided to slap their badge on it. They saw some success and decided to do some custom modifications to the casing + built-in breakers next. Throw "Veterans made" into the mix and now people like you call it a Lexus lol
What do you have to say about this @robby ? https://web.archive.org/web/20180314071750/https://deyeinverter.en.alibaba.com/
So Deye was selling the 8kw hybrid since at least March 2018 (That is the earliest snapshot from wayback machine) and your claimed "2017" video was uploaded in April 2018
Check the bus bar connections. Loose bus bar bolt will cause the cell not to charge correctly thus BMS showing lower voltage and same with your multimeter
Its a circuit breaker. You don't need to buy a dongle. Just contact deye and ask them to unbind your current dongle. Once that is done, you can set up an account as a new one
No difference except UI on LCD.
Probably not
No. Its same as Deye. Both uses Solarman platform for data logging and fastest updates that you can get is every 1min
Just run an addon that turns all Amazon,Ebay,Aliexpress,Alibaba links posted here to Affliate links (If it isnt already there) and profit.
No need to mess with ads. It will make good money
Deye 50Kw is just $6050 from Alibaba
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/SUN-50K-SG01HP3-EU-BM4-Pure_1600896985966.html
Can't believe that Sol-Ark is charging $14750 for the 30Kw version. 60Kw version is $19750.
https://practicalpreppers.com/product/sol-ark-60k/...
Sol-Ark claims they designed these inverters while they are yet to release their 30K HV inverter.
SunSynk/Deye (SunSynk is owned by Deye btw) introduced it 8 months ago
https://www.sol-ark.com/sol-ark-30k-all-in-one/
BTW did anyone notice that Sol-Ark didnt even bother to change the case...
Hi, yes if I connect everything in one string it will just work and won't produce over 3250W but then I would be wasting power because my panels are 4850W and I will atleast get 4000W at peak.
Did you take those screenshots from Deye monitoring? Why your PV1 is 76? Does it produce power at...
You need to place the CT on grid wire, not backup load. If you do not have anything loads connected on grid side, you can then place it inside the inverter
Doesn't make sense when lfp batteries are already cheap enough. Going by your logic you need to have 100kwh of batteries to use 15kwh of power per day. What a waste of money
Lfp battery of 20kwh will last over 15 years easily when cycled for 15kwh per day. And you can build 2 x 20kwh lfp...
@Cheap 4-life Have a look here - https://diysolarforum.com/threads/sol-ark-not-a-good-company-to-deal-with-12k.44005/post-658781
@robby was claiming Sol-Ark handmade the first units in US for testing and then sent those Deye for mass manufacturing. He also claimed that Sol-Ark sent one of those...
Victron doesn't seem to be so reliable these days. So many customers are having issues with Multiplus II 5kva units as well.
https://community.victronenergy.com/questions/108663/victron-multiplus-ii-noise-level-what-is-your-expe.html
Deye/Sunsynk are eating Victron's lunch in EU and Asia with...
I got the same cells with same QR code and everything. I got those from Basen green. Working well so far and its been 2.5 months. 16 cells stay in balance.
Please post your capacity test results
9 panels in a string is within the range. My growatt inverter reports 350-400v so its perfect for Deye. I would much prefer not to split up the current string but I don't want to limit the power to 3250w either
I decided to first try panels in one string and see what happens and go from there. Honestly I wouldn't have bought this inverter if they advertised this in the datasheet or manual
That is exactly what I meant. Sol-Ark 12K got a 12kW SCC which is underneath the main inverter board. The main inverter board is 9kW for Sol-Ark. That is why Deye 8kW and Sol-Ark 12K got identical mainboards.
You cant see the SCC in this picture
I was talking about the components as well tbh. Caps are Nichicon 105c rated on Deye and both Sol-Ark and Deye use the same relays. Pretty sure IGBT's are the same. MCU is same.
No. Its exactly the same with different colour schemes for apps. Sunsynk app is made by Solarman. You can use Deye cloud app for Deye which is same as Sunsynk app (again made by solarman)
Battrium only does 500ma balancing right? Why not go for JK BMS? Simple and elegant. Zero reasons to go with Seplos over JK if you don't need inverter comms
damn my SG03 5kw is on the way and my string is already wired 4850w. I'm going to use it in zero export mode. Not sure if this limitation is there in SG03 as well.
Yeah but you dont needs comms for that. You set the values on the inverter to be little higher than BMS low voltage cutoff and little lower than BMS high voltage cutoff.
You also have the BMS to do the second round of protection with its own low/high voltage cut off.
I have been running my...
Well, what if I have a shit battery? JK helps to keep it in balance where your Batrium will struggle.
I'm pretty sure that there have been quite a few posts about Batrium too
