    Thank you.
  • Post in thread: JK 4S 200A BMS

Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is also not Snapdragon chip. Just example. Make sure you ask this questions. I have not looked for and waisted money on not good device from Samsung and they used MediaTek chip.
  • Post in thread: 32x EVE LF280K pack configuration - need second/third opinion

If you want less bus bars ( less resistance more efficiency) i would go with two parallel 16S battery banks. It will require one more BMS . This what i have learned working with EV battery packs. And slowly moving away from P and S in one battery setup. If you are going to scratch my advice...
  • Post in thread: JK 4S 200A BMS

This small current draw will not be picked up by shunt. And by looking at voltage that is rough estimate. Your SOC is guessing. Try to find better shunt that will keep memory of SOC even if not used for many weeks. But extend periods of not charging or discharging will not substitute lifepo4...
  • Post in thread: Panel shipping is hard, apparently!

Sure with 3 X more for transportation with hazardous cargo on the trailer. If money is not the issue i can hook you with truck drivers that will take it as hazardous material and deliver to you with expensive premium.
  • Post in thread: JK 4S 200A BMS

Biggest issues is not only MediaTek chip but some apps are just not complied for this chip manufacturer properly and you could have app and Bluetooth issues.
  • Post in thread: 16s Chevy Volt 64v battery BMS and Inverter.

Yes i have with packs that had manufacturers defects.
  • Post in thread: JK 4S 200A BMS

@rickst29 what Ah ratings are for this charts?
  • Post in thread: Active balancer, make it smart!?

No i have not yet have one of this to test but i would love someone else to do it. After top balance is done provoke one of the cells above threshold to find out if it is looking after average cells voltage or single cells voltage to wake up and balance again. And what is the delay and how many...
  • Post in thread: What is considered normal/acceptable Delta V ?

Acceptable DeltaV will depend on how accurate your bms is in reading voltage. When you know this that will give margin of error +/- (example BMS is accurate down to 6 mV) . How fast you charging and discharging scenario will change how DeltaV across cells. Grade A +++ will stay between 2-8 mV...
  • Post in thread: Active balancer, make it smart!?

This one has no Bluetooth dongle and no access to make any changes?
  • Post in thread: What is considered normal/acceptable Delta V ?

Welded bus bars are cheap alternative to overcome this issue and many good quality Chinese makers are switching to this. This is not right solution but band aid ( by eliminating screws and nuts making more profits). Up to certain degree it is better than rigid bus bars with screws. I will call...
  • Post in thread: Active balancer, make it smart!?

Neey is one of balancers i have decided to go against with some of my friends who insisted and always had problems with top balancing. This one is looking after average cell voltage and 140+ seconds look with 4 pings to the average cell voltage to make decision to awake and continue balancing...
  • Post in thread: Active balancer, make it smart!?

My next toy to play will be JK balancer 5A and 10A for benchtop observation. Will post once i have them received. When people know how some active balancer are working, they will have better understanding how to manage them in best practices possible to keep battery well balanced.
  • Post in thread: JK BMS issue with charging

Current is irrelevant voltage has to increase 0.5 +/- V to trigger auto enable discharge and lower it down to 1-2 mV when discharge is is . And this could be dangerous for people who are not aware of this mosfet phenomena. So before starting to calibrate pack voltage or ramping voltage on the...
  • Post in thread: Charging LiFePO4 batteries through Growatt 24V 3000W

What is the model number? I do see there are different models with same model number but one of them are specifically designed for US suppliers. So which one is it and is it bought overseas or from US supplier?
  • Post in thread: What is considered normal/acceptable Delta V ?

How you compare with calibrated volt meter your deltaV? Definitely good build and cells
  • Post in thread: Heltec 4S 5S 6S 5A Active Balancer Fried - Is there any issue with my connections?

How some balancing leads should be connected depends on the design of balancer or BMS. You need to follow instruction diagram for specific unit you are using. Going after YouTube videos are no go because many are different in way how they are engineered. And installing fuses for all leads would...
  • Post in thread: 2p16s: What to do with faster (and slower) 'runners'

Remove all bus bars and use flat no conductive bar seating on top of all cells terminals. Use gap Guage and see if you have any gaps. If you are not using flexible bus bars this is step #1. Report back what you have observed.
  • Post in thread: What is considered normal/acceptable Delta V ?

How you tried to check for gaps using flat non conductive bar across all cell terminals. This is very important for long life battery pack. If you use flexible cooper bus bars please scratch my post. And if you don't mind can you post pictures of your 3P16S I'm interested on terminal bus bars...
  • Post in thread: Active balancer, make it smart!?

@Visusolar you definitely draw my attention so I'm going to follow you on this forum. Thank you for responding to my posts.
  • Post in thread: 16s Chevy Volt 64v battery BMS and Inverter.

If removed from plastic boxes it will require compression otherwise you will have problems. Good luck
  • Post in thread: JK 4S 200A BMS

You are correct....i was looking at my data logs at various different Ah cells....only differences is dropping from flat curve little different on less than 100 Ah cells. I have downloaded your chart and printed out it will be seating on my wall in the shop. Appreciate all the time to invest in...
  • Post in thread: Class t fuse without holder

In extreme conditions and in rush current at the max level this is possible to happen. This is why fuse holder is designed to keep fuse from separation. But we are here not to judge anyone everyone is responsible for his own safe way to design battery. Professional pack builders have a lot of...
  • Post in thread: JK 4S 200A BMS

It would be nice if you post APK file to this forum when you have nee version out. A lot easier to download and install. And why GPS permissions is needed for Bluetooth connection.?
  • Post in thread: Parallel Battery String Topologies, solution needed for JK and other BMS

Definitely possible if you using fast-acting Class-T fuse and if properly sized you will not have issue with Parallel battery banks and inrush scenarios. Just use fast-acting Class-T fuses between each parallel battery bank connecting to the bust terminals in parallel for all banks. Fuse will...
  • Post in thread: JK 4S 200A BMS

    Definitely agree with @hwse
  • Post in thread: Interesting BMS purchase

    That looks like BYD
  • Post in thread: JK BMS issue with charging

Most of mosfet style BMS will need charging and discharging enabled....otherwise if you enabled only charging and not discharging there will be 0.4-0.6V voltage drop across BMS. This the nature of mosfet and you need to know that. Otherwise you may find yourself raising voltage over and once...
  • Post in thread: Ideas? Multiple Dumb BMS VS single smart for 950AH LifePo4's

If you have tight tolerance for resistance and have tested for benchtop energy each cell it would be easy to make group of parallel cells to make very safe battery banks with multiple parallel cells. Close attention will be needed for bus bars. I personally use flexible bus bars that are now...
