Progress is progress. You should only have to do this once.
But I digress, no one should have to do this at all, ever
However, this does seem to be the nature of lifepo4 and pre-assembled battery packs weather the user knows it or not.
You just happen to be smart and aware.
Personally, I would use the 2/0 wire and fuse it at 100A. That way if anything happened, that wire would be perfectly fine except for where it shorted. 100 amps would cover your inverter draw. Fuses are not very fast blowing and even a 200 amp surge for .2 seconds would probably not blow the...
Those connections are usually torqued to a spec that would mostly prevent that. If I was you I would certainly be curious enough to open it up and use my thermal camera. But I dont think you have much to worry about there. I wouldnt worry about that compared to PV inputs an solar charge...
The 6000XP has a end discharge voltage setting that is dependent on SOC or battery voltage. The 6000 xp will not resume operation until the battery voltage is 3v above this set point after it has been triggered.
This may be whats going on.
"I got hairy legs that that that turned turned, turned … blonde in the sun. And the kids used to come up and reach into the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and watch the hair come back up again. I learned a lot about roaches. I love kids jumping on my lap."
Most people would say that bringing lightning inside is a bad idea. I agree.
Other people and some local codes I believe, say that only one grounding location is the right way.
So again, no easy answer.
Hopefully that is the last and only Renogy kit you have.
Victron is fantastic and a good value except for their batteries in my opinion.
Welcome to the forum!
nearly any pallet will work. I ship 350# things on pallets all day and I have seen some down right horrible strapping. Most of which arrived in tact.
The worst thing that repeatedly happens is getting stabbed with forks. No pallet or strapping will save you from that.
My first winter.. I was super depressed in nov, saying goodbye to free money.. :(
But then February injected a lot of hope and cheer! I got some of the best numbers I have seen.
If your panels are on an RV roof, summer will be your best numbers I think.
The most interesting thing in my situation was the led signal lights in my combiner box. When I switched off all the circuits, all of the lights stated on except one. That means the voltage was coming in from the house instead of the panels. Must have been grounding itself near the rod. I...
Yes and no, It needs many hours at a high state of charge to balance the cells. Weather this is done now or later doesnt really matter, so yes yu can use it but you need to balance the cells some time. It will only help you. The battery doesnt care....Balancing the cells allows you to use...
My experience: I ran 4 solar strings of 12 Ah to a combiner box. Used 8 awg to carry the 48 amps inside to my victron SCC. I tighten and pulled 4x and called it good.... Fast forward 3 months I was installing my 6000xp. I found the 8 awg wire was almost falling out of the pv input. This was...
It allows time of day triggers on any setting in the 6000xp page.
This will be very useful to me.
It pretty much can manipulate any setting but nothing fancy.
It still doesnt do anything with SOC.
I would like an automation to revert to grid at voltage AND a specific load.
Yeah, the bms is lying to you and not calibrated. As others have mentioned, it should be a lot more accurate for a while after you finally charge it to 100% actual.
