I am here to say that you are lucky your house didnt burn down if you had LiCo cells at 4.46v x 3
You need to know WTF you are doing.....
I would get that thing out of my house as using it, even to test, could be explosive.
No you will not. The only way for them to get severely out of balance that I know of is self discharge over a long time (months/years) without being balanced. Or if the cell has a problem.
How do you think doing it one by one will help you?
I believe the limitation here is the balance current...
As others have mentioned, Getting the state of charge or SOC percentage from a charge controller or inverter that only sees the voltage of your battery is NEVER going to be accurate with LifePo4. The discharge cure is so flat that it would be impossible.
Also, previous poster was right...
I dont think anyone can possibly know. I have read so many conflicting opinions that I dont even know what end is up.
In my uneducated opinion, I think that anything that is essentially a wide area antennae (eg. power lines ) would be affected.
That is specifically what happened in 1859...
I dont care at all because I use solar assistant for all the data.
You should look into that. Main benefit is "almost real time" updates on usage unlike the 5 min intervals of the EG4 software
I just cant believe you have a .194 delta at 3.43 average. I am sorry for you.
Have you tried what EG4_Jared said and bypass the communication board? he said "try and remove the ComHub from the system"
Ok looks like you can sit at 55v keep it there for as long as you can stand.
Current doesnt "need" to be flowing.
The only thing that matters is that the balancing is working.
Does it balance without charging? Or does it stop as soon as its in float?
Can you set the float to 55? Try 54.9
I...
Oh, im sorry, I was looking at the wrong picture i think.
So you are certainly somewhere in the 18-23 degree range.
I didnt know where south was. Is it to the left of the photo or toward the camera?
Well, I may as well be honest, I originally asked a question here and then there was this God like voice in my head that kept mumbling "did you check the forum" over and over with increasing volume. I chuckled to myself in defiance. And then I did that.
So, I really meant it when I said Dont...
Homeline panel, homeline tandem breakers. Panel says 30/60 circuits so that means to me that EVERY circuit can be a tandem right??
Or am I bat chit crazy?
Correct Think of it this way. A solar panel can take a short circuit of its own power all day and not complain. In 2P it would take double its own, and in 3P it could take triple. Thats my understanding. Solar panels get angry with triple their rated short circuit current.
PV wire is always...
Just cut some cement board to place on top of the shelf. Bonus fire resistance.
I recently learned that concrete does conduct slightly but I think you would be fine at these voltages.

I dont think you need to shut it down if you make sure its in grid passthru mode and then shut off the battery breaker on the XP.
Then shut off the existing battery and make sure the new battery is very close to the same voltage as the existing one.
Add second battery
Turn on both batteries...
I wouldnt be looking at the water heater as the problem. It is a constant resistive load with tiny surge....
I would be looking at other loads.
Back to my example..
My ac unit runs on 800 watts but the surge of the compressor is at least 1500 probably more.
Totally understandable! I just hope you enjoy the 6000xp.
For instance, Im in Wi, we had a nasty wet heavy snow storm 2 days ago.
When the weather reports said there will be a good chance of downed trees and power outages, I logged into the 6000xp software from work and started AC charging...
I think we figured it out. Thanks for chiming in tho.
I unknowingly used the testing branch and Chris was wondering how I got the web UI
Thank you for adding that!!
Everyone's gremlins are different and at different stages of undernourishment. As such, results will vary, inverter to inverter. Your gremlins are not necessarily my gremlins. But, then again, I like to keep mine hungry.
Downloading now for my 6000xp.
I would consider it able to keep things where you want with < 10lbs weight and horizontal.
Will had a video recomending wall mounting concrete board but I am thinking he drilled into a stud behind it for the heavy stuff.
The concrete board I have used I wouldnt hang something over 20 lbs on it...
