Great stuff.... congratulations.
If there's no other limitations.
I believe you can do it. Just make sure everything is genuine. Due to financial constraints I chose Chinese stuff. Never go for Chinese solar chargers....I learnt it in a hard way. Batteries and panels can be relied
I have received two CALB swollen cells from China. Their voltages were at 3.22v while all others were at 3.26v
I am just thinking, if I put them in a freezer overnight before charging them. Will it help ?
Thanks, Innocent
Hi,
I always keep thinking of solar charge control which has a maximum PV voltage of 150V
I have my panels in 2S5P.
My 2S is giving me maximum of 115V.....I have 35V unused which I could have made my panels start generating at may be 5:30am or 6am
Am I dreaming ?
Any ideas are welcomed as I...
It was a maintenance day and unfortunately we exchanged polarity of the terminals from the battery to the charger and it went PUFFF.
This is a PV SCC
BMS has always worked fine at 55.2V
Regarding temperature.... I am living in Dar es Salaam just 6degrees South of Equator which is always...
I have tried to recharge the battery bank with some caution..... So far I have just pushed in 18KWH and still hungry for more, it is 20KWH storage.
Next test is discharging it, to see how much will be recovered
That's 4
Ok...I will try to set a maximum charging current as suggested. I am just thinking how many days it will take to get to 3V for a 400Ah battery bank
Unfortunately I have only single charger at the moment. I am currently waiting for the supplier to deliver the replacement.
I am also thinking of buying second charger and put it as a redundant parallel to the first charger. I don't plan to inspect the system regularly....and therefore I sm...
I am using the charge controller to monitor the battery levels
The voltage controller maximum charge is set at 57.6V
I am just using a Chinese charge controller with a claimed efficiency of 98%
I have been roaming around in the internet researching about my life expectancy of my LiFePo4 battery bank.
I have come across this calculator here which is estimating my battery life to be 24years.
I am astonished by the numbers.... Can somebody validate it ...
Hi,
Recently I installed a 5kw sola panel capacity with a Chinese SNADI MPPT charge controller (100A).
My battery bank is lithium 48V.
The system worked fine for few days then over suddenly it stopped charging.
I tried to disconnect and reconnect again, only to realize the solar charging...
Hi
I am just thinking.... Putting a huge panel 8kwh all of them setup in xP and yS series but I want to make sure all of the circuit is looped into two or three smart solar charge controllers which will be parallel to each other connected to a single huge battery bank.
The idea is to ensure...
For me to achieve 56.8volts as voltage at resting. What should be my highest charging voltage to be set at the charge controller ?
I tried to do 56.8v as bulk same float voltage. The moment the sun goes down and scc stops charging. The resting voltage becomes 52.8volts
Hi,
I am running a 400Ah lithium bank in an outdoor cage in a typical tropical climate (Dar es Salaam). Being charged at a maximum of 62A during peak hours. Around same peak hours my ambient temperature is at 40°C as a maximum temperature and drops to 29°C at midnight.
I am trying to imagine...
Dear Members,
I am kinda frustrated with my two Chinese solar charge controllers which I have connected to charge same single battery bank of 400Ah
Array 1 is 5kwp and Array 2 is 5.6kwp both are on the same roof similar direction and tilt.
The problem is...When Array 1 charges at 40A Array 2...
Thanks Steve,
My Batteries are 12V configured in series. The SCC manual specifies the 48V battery bank. The panels are configured to bring 118V while the SCC operates at a maximum of 150V.
Currently, as it can be seen in the pictures I attached the PV are bringing less than 130V.
The system...
I have just learnt that you don't need to restrict yourself to 80%.
I have been using 10yrs old CALB cells and I am currently doing almost 60% DoD. Still going strong on my 24/7 system
Hi,
I am located in Dar es Salaam.
I have setup a 5kw panels with a small power storage of second hand 48V 200Ah lithium battery bank.
I was wondering if I can improve my facility to enable me produce 30 kwh per day if I can invest in storage.
I am currently producing around 14-15 Kwh per day.
I tend to believe....if my battery bank is 400AH and my peak charging is hardly 40A.
Stress to the battery should be almost zero and I should always recharge it to 100% whever possible
I just tested it yesterday.
I changed bulk voltage to 59.6 same as float. It never went into float. I achieved 53v resting voltage and I got the highest generation ever 19.8kwh which I believe most of it just went into the battery bank as no body was at home. I ended getting more than 7 hours of...
Hi All,
I find my self frustrated....I have my 5kw pannels with 100A charge controller.
My charging voltage goes as far as 57.6v as a maximum l found it in lithium setup in the charge controller.
However, the maximum I have ever seen as charging voltage is around 56.0v and it settles at 53v...
