Yep...panels going into the SE7600 for the original "grid tied system", and then a second array I added going directly into the 18kpv.
The larger box to the left of the 18kpv is purely a 200A breaker that I use as my "disconnect" and an extra layer of security between the inverter and the power...
Just found this thread, and my setup will be similar with a 320/400A service with two 200A breaker/disconnect panels by the meter. I will be running my "basement" 200A panel with the 18kpv. I cannot get my CT's into my meter without cutting the little "safety clip", so I'm just leaving them in...
We are on year 7 of our GE heat pump water heater, 50 gal. It's in our unconditioned NC basement and is awesome. I barely have to kick on the dehumidifier down there.
2 adults and a 4 year old and it lives in heat pump only mode at all times (unless we have company staying over, then I go to...
Hilarious because I researched this yesterday.
4 x 2/0 wires doesn't exceed conduit fill requirements. No reason I could find that wouldn't allow it and I had the same plan.
Don't take my word for it however... Hopefully someone smarter chimes in.
I'm looking for information on how to safely shut down my DC coupled PV array with the 18kpv.
I have an IMO disconnect outside by the panels, and obviously the 18kpv has the shut down on the outside of the enclosure, but what is the best way to shut down my array if it's mid day and I need to...
No TOU on my end. Just 1:1. So nothing lost there thankfully!
If the utility decides to dick me around and stop 1:1, I'll crack open their meter and get the CT's there.
Some of the EG4 folks have mentioned a bit bigger "spread" may be beneficial. I do 85% start and 95% stop.
Something about the relay cycling on-off twice as often can have long term durability concerns (don't quote me on that...but I think you get the general idea).
I also think the newer...
Sure... Fine. But long term it's going to be easier to be able to handle updates on your own.
Less typing here, more reading the guide, and you could be running in 10 minutes just like all of us did.
You will have to AC couple your SolarEdge inverter to a hybrid inverter to accomplish your goal. Source...I did it. Another route I didn't pursue was swapping my SE inverter to a different model capable of battery storage...but then you are stuck using higher voltage batteries and have limited...

Whoops your a moron again!
And in case you are too stupid to look up seditious conspiracy, I'll do it for you.
Seditious conspiracy is a federal crime that involves two or more people conspiring to overthrow the federal government...
It's in the wiring diagrams section of the manual. I installed a two string ISO disconnect at my ground mount panels. If I need to touch the wires, I just walk outside and turn them off.
Update just to maybe save someone some trouble in the future:
Ordered the TEMco hydraulic crimper for sizes up to 2/0+. The 2/0+ die is too small for this connector with my 2/0 wire. The connector is definitely a bigger connector despite coming with 2/0 wire from the factory.
Going up to the...
Have you installed the 16xx firmware on the EG4 18kpv? It has AC coupling/frequency shifting changes listed and I'm tempted but awaiting the official release.
Also, hello fellow Reolink camera guy! That's my setup as well.
Not an expert, but this is falling out of favor.
The best way to handle this is to get your array ground to your house ground/ground rod, and have no additional ground rod by the array.
I've been down this wormhole for a few weeks and I can share what I know. Not an expert so don't trust me 100%
1) Yes, there is a chip in the USB end of these RJ45 to USB cables that allow it to communicate with the computer. I don't think you can just start hacking up USB cables and have...
Can anyone help me with ground wiring sizing for the PowerPro?
I'm finalizing and tidying up my setup and I need to get an appropriately sized ground wire run. Nothing mentioned in the manual on sizing.
My whopping 3 days of experience with AC coupling my SE7600US to my EG4 18kpv has been mostly smooth thus far.
We are working on one strange issue that may be AC coupling related, but I THINK only happens when I have my settings to "charge batteries first". More to follow and I'll update on...
I would focus on getting the battery communications running and then let the BMS figure out the rest. No need to do any specific cycles at far as I know.
Nah...won't be giving up my meat. I like to have a deep freezer full of cow at all times.
I do get the cow from my personal friend that raises them on the leftover hay from their primary hay business. So at least trying to minimize there.

plug in the numbers. Your ground wire can just match your PV conductor sizing. I think you can downsize, I just don't know those rules off the top of my head so you'll need to look into that further. I just ran the same size so I didn't have to do any more...
Maybe I'm missing it somewhere, but I would just like an easy monthly tracker. Use, export, import, production, etc. Instead of having to look at each bar and add them together.
I'd also like the option to see AC coupled production for the day on the main screen similar to how my DC coupled...
I read it...I couldn't figure it out at first but now I've got it.
Here is the laziest way I could get it to work
1) AC Charge ENABLE
2) AC Charge Based on TIME (this is where I was messing up...I had it set to SOC%).
3) Lazy click START QUICK CHARGE.
No need to set any times/etc this lazy...
