Trying to top balance 6 48 Lifepower batts, one at a time with this charger. The first one took about 3 hours, 4 led's lit up and the charger shut down. On the second one, the charger has been running for about 6 hours now, holding at 56.4 volts and bouncing around between .5 to 1.5 amp. I assume that it is balancing?

Wondering if I should shut it down and move to the next or let it run? What do you think? Could they really be that far out of balance? They haven't even been hooked up or cycled yet. Thought I would top them off before I update their firmware for the 6000XP's.

When I did this, I had to unplug it sometimes between batteries. It did shut down automatically when the battery was done.

Thanks, yep, did that, unplugged it after it shut down, hooked it back up, flipped the breaker and plugged it back in. The charger runs a bit after pulling the plug as the electros discharge inside. I know its a dumb-ish charger but...

I just shut it all down, will move on to #3 tomorrow and look at this one in the BMS test to see what might be going on.

The batteries also have their own regulation on how much current is allowed in.
