That is assumed. Without being connected to each cell a BMS is useless. There is no communication per se, just shunts and FETS turning on and off..What the OP is looking for is a BMS which communicates with his MPP inverter(s).
I didn't take it as such, what he wants is to view SOC on SA remotely. He won't get cell level data with SA.

True, MPP communication, but, here comes the but, want a BMS to replace the BMS in the 48v Husky BigBattery
 
Go search Youtube for Lithium Solar's video on attempting communication with the LV6548.

I have watched many of his videos. He even had one where he used an app on his phone to communicate with the BMS on a BigBattery.
Only thing I could think of was it was an earlier Husky battery that allowed BMS communication.
