Does anyone know if the temperature probes on the JBD can be extended? I've got the 100A 8S version with two temperature probes, but the wires are only about 9 inches long. I'm considering splicing in some wire to extend them to maybe 20 inches, just so I can be working on things and not have the temp probe wires stretched tight to get to the pack.

I can't be the only one that finds these too short. Thoughts?

I am not directly familar with JBD bms but most commonly used sensors are 10k ohm @ 25degC thermistors. Should not be a problem to extend it.

Ok then, I'll give it a go. I'll remove the BMS from the circuit first, then splice in a bit more wire.
When you cut the sensor loose. Check its resistance with ohm meter and note approximate ambient temp when measured.

Since you have two, first compare both temperatures, then extend one, and compare again to make sure they are still in sync. then do the 2nd one.

That's my plan, anyway.
