Got the EG4 XP up and running! Need some help lol

Hey all! So, I got my system up and running but definitely have some questions on settings.

I have my Victron 712 BMV setup, just changed the parameters for the 48v system.

Here’s the issues I’ve encountered, hopefully y’all have some input:

1) I need a “customer code” to register for EG monitor, I’ve searched every which way I can and can’t find a code for signaturesolar where I went through to get it.

2) My SOC is definitely off based on voltage. I’ve tried switching back and forth between SOC and VOC to monitor SOC and it’s saying I’m much lower than I actually am.

3) Do you HAVE to use wifi or, is there another monitoring method? I’m looking at adding Solar Assistant here shortly but thus far, I’ve had to switch back and forth between the unit and my actual wifi, more or less making my phone useless when trying to monitor the unit and connect to it. For local connect, I cannot monitor the unit via the app unless I connect to its WiFi and can no longer do anything else with my phone lol.

4) I can’t seem to get my parameters to save when connected locally via the app. I’ll go into settings and set them all up, and then they’re gone again.

I know there’s definitely going to be a learning curve so bear with me lol. The Victron stuff is just a little more intuitive for me.

The customer code is either
Signature! or
signature!
I think thats what I remember.

Your SOC will NEVER be accurate in the 6000xp unless you have EG4 batteries or other compatible batteries in a closed loop communication setup.
If you are using an unsupported battery, you will need to set all automation to voltage.

Thanks, I’ll try registering with those. If not, maybe EG4Jared will be around lol.

I run 150Ah AGM’s (for now) 4S4P. I just need to figure out what settings to input to where it’s closer to being accurate.

With the app, I have to disconnect from my home wifi, and connect to it, then more or less neutering my phone. I can’t connect to it through Bluetooth. If I can setup solar assistant and access it via my WiFi but still be on it, that would be optimal.

I tried it with the “read” option and then editing the parameters but still couldn’t get them to save. I had to edit everything on the unit itself.

So I was able to create a profile and sign in. Now the inverter wont output AC power, can’t communicate with the App or online profile, nothing….

Settings appear to be the same on the inverter when I check, just no AC output. The UPS indicator is flashing on the screen but “normal” function light is light.

There are a few customer codes out there. Mine was: “Current Connected”. It depends who you bought it from and who is supporting the warranty.

Maybe @EG4_Jared @EG4_Jarrett can help you.
 
The dongle is for the 6000xp. One dongle that comes with it is wifi. You can buy a second dongle for ethernet.
It has been reported that Solar Assistant does NOT work with the 6000XP Ethernet dongle - only the WiFi one. SA can be connected with WiFi or Ethernet - doesn’t matter - but apparently the Ethernet dongle for the 6000XP has a network port blocked that SA requires to be able to connect to it.
