What's the reason behind using 240V inverters with transformers when they have split phase ones?

I hear many opinions, but there is already a fact that the sun gtil2 is working, they are 240, and they work very well in the USA format and if you use 2, with a sensor on each leg of L1 and L2 associated with each of the inverters, you have zero export!... these originally came out as simple phase, they already updated the manuals so they could be put in split phase!!!!! The question is, if this is already more than proven to work, why not do the same, for example with 2 5Kw simple phase 240? and you achieve 10Kw?... 1713829316686.png

Those are grid-tied inverters. (Different conversation)
But yes, you can connect to split-phase.
You are using the utility transformer for your 120v loads.
