Hi today I find I am locked out of my jk bms on both of my batteries I can connect via Bluetooth no problem however when i go to settings and verify password none of the password work any more, default or any of the common ones I use. Also the update to the app now asks for precise location and camera access when opening the app. Has anyone else had this or know of a fix

Is this with the Android app? Try clearing the App cache and Force Close the app. Rebooting the device never hurts either to help clear old settings. Blanket advice isn't easy as it is unknown how your device and apps are set up. The app will not connect without Bluetooth and Location being active and you must be close enough for a good Bluetooth connection. The app for me, does not seem to need camera access. I have denied this and the other permission request of storage and have had no problems, even with the latest Android app update. Also, there are other threads in these forums about JKBMS and passwords that could be worth a search, as there is advice on a DIY password reset and a forum member affiliated with JKBMS that provides time limited password codes for resets.

Hi thanks for the reply yes it is android app no problems connecting the Bluetooth however one of my battery's is limited to 20amp charge from an earlier experiment and now i cannot get in to change it back to default, it would be nice if you could just factory re set

If clearing the app cache and Force Stopping the app do not help, then there are other threads in the forums for you to read on doing a factory reset and getting a reset code. If you have one, you could also load the app on another Android device and start over and see if the JKBMS will connect to that device with either password (yours or the OEM) and then learn that the glitch is within the BMS?

Thanks again just for your info I have tried rebooting the bms unistalling and re installing the app tried the app on my wife's iPhone I have emailed fogstar the vendor to see if they can help. I have searched online and most people seem to be only able to resolve this with a temporary code 😕

Is it with the android app 4.20.0. My app also just updated. This is what I have found.
Enter your password (for me the password is completely visible) click on verify, it will say "verify permission of settings failure" then when I click ok the password change to dots , when clicking on verify again its works, I can change settings.

Hi all still no luck with JK BMS tried the above as suggested but after watching Andy's video I realised it was a different BMS but I tried it anyway.
