EG4 Solar Charge Controller MPPT | 500VDC 100A | MPPT100-48HV

I don't, but that's a nice price point. Curious.

All MPPT have some idle load. Given that it's not driving inverter circuitry, I would not expect it to be more than a few Watts if even that.

Manual says this:

When the PV power is lost, the unit will go into standby mode and power off after about 2 minutes. Only when the PV power returns to MPPT voltage range will the unit power on and work normally.

I am curious as well. Does anyone have this yet? I see a few reviews on Youtube.

I am curious how LOUD it is, compared to say the MPPT's in the 6500EX (currently sound like a jumbo jet in my closet)

Well, that was my idea. I’m getting ready to upgrade to the 6000 XP myself.
yeah im not stoked... I didnt realize all of my loads are too close to 6kw therefore keeping each leg balanced and under 3000 watts has been super challenging. Right now the house is back on the 6500EX (running flawlessly) with 6000XP only being used for the (2) mppts :p

I've been running a pair of the EG4 MPPT's for about a year now. Recently had one with a failed connection. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/magic-smoke-came-out-it-happens.83412/ The new unit still required the firmware update. Other than that problem, these have worked flawlessly.

Yes, shutdown in the evening and start up at first light. No idle draw.
Zwy, are you running yours in tandem, charging the same bank? Mine are charging different banks now but I might combine the banks. I didn't know if they would behave together on the same battery bank.

Yes, in parallel on whole bank. Video here shows the way I connected to Victron Power In.

There is also a followup video about the firmware update in case you have not done the update. Eliminates the F01 code at low light.

One advantage is you can set bulk slightly lower on one MPPT if you want to begin a taper on charge rate. I have mine set the same bulk charging voltage but for some packs it could be advantageous as cell balancing takes place.

This is exactly what I needed to know, thanks!
