Any Thermal Management Issues with Deye SUN-16K-SG01LP1-EU?

Hmm?

I'm not anti-Chinese but what percentage of Chinese companies do you think ever actually honor warranties? I've done business in China for 2 decades, in my own experience only 1 company actually did what they promised when they screwed up. The business culture is just different there. Their low pricing maybe just doesn't allow them to honor their "warranties" or provide support. As long as you're ok with no warranty and no support, go for it.
Of course. I understand. No one can afford to be really anti-Chinese with all their contributions to the world. I had a rather poor customer support experience with Sorotec but a very good experience with Felicity Solar. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

So don't pay for the 20 year extended warranty on my Solis inverter your saying?
Deye sales told me these inverters last 10 years on average. I don't see how they could offer 20 years.

This site for example says the average life is 10 years for an inverter:

Felicity Solar
I may be mistaken but I think I saw on Andy's Garage that Felicity Solar has a proper API that allows you to directly connect to the inverter and easily grab data and put it into Home Assistant? Much much better than what Deye offers.

API grabs are never that good or secure, personally I'd go with a hacked modbus like Deye.

If you were buying a Sol-Ark, that's a whole different thing. If you said they are up to tier 1 standards, that might be true. Sol-Ark seems to be legit in that they won't leave you twisting in the wind. Even tho both inverters are made by Deye, one has a real company behind it, the other doesn't.

They're secure enough on a private LAN that never connects to the internet. That's another reason not to buy a Deye in my opinion. Unless you want to hack, they practically force you to use their "hosted in China" zero privacy cloud to easily access data.
