Eco-Worthy 12V 100AH LiFePO4 Lithium Battery BMS 4000+ cycles For RV Solar Panel $164.80 + Free Shipping

Was in the process of getting some 100Ah 12V AGM batteries for one of our run-around golf carts out here and came across this ... LiFePO4 for about the same price as AGM ... Pretty sure its been posted but couldn't find it here on this site ...

Its on Ebay ...

205.99 - 20% with coupon code HOT20DEALS at checkout = $164.79. Shipping is free.

I think the Coupon expires tomorrow it seems ...

Sorry but these batts are Eco-turdy they use Grade F cells they are unbalanced from the start, probably the worse brand I have seen. To top it off Amazon actually doesn't even allow returns on some there batteries.

They were running a killer deal on these last week. Got one of the 24V 100 AH delivered for $361. Looking good so far.
Me too - I scooped x6 but hope what everyone else says isn't true. They seemed to have good reviews on Amazon and I couldn't find any reviews by keyword searching here.

How does one determine that they arrive unbalanced - opening the battery pack and measuring them individually?

I have 4 since late 2022 and so far so good. There are tear down reviews too. I would be interested in your findings. The only post by rooni have been about Eco-Worthy...

I have been tempted to open them up and add a 16C BMS.

I bought 2 of the 12v 100ah to swap out the lead acids in my trailer.
I tightened the bolts in the first battery and charged to full.
The 2nd battery, I actually looked at the warning label on top, which says to make sure the lock washers compress before charging or it will cause issues.
Tightening the first bolt and watching the lock washer not compress, I kept tightening (against my will) and snapped the bolt, before the lock washer was compressed.
After this happened, I took a look at the first battery I charged (tightened to a typical torque feel) and sure enough the lock washers were not compressed.
After 3 messages sent to EW customer support, I finally got a reply requesting photos.
After sending photos, a few days later they are offering to resend one battery.
I’ve asked what the problem is with the bolts (too long?) and/or lock washers (too stiff?).
Awaiting reply.
Never have I had such an issue on many lifepo4 batteries I have.
Anyone with similar issues?

I just scooped these up but haven't opened them or tested yet. Will try to report back.

I am wanting to order 2 of these as well. Great size and price, but a little wary now (see my 12v review below).
Any issues with yours?

Edit: replied to wrong post.

Basically you need to put a decent size lug in there for the bolts to not bottom out. I noticed this when I had a very thin ring terminal on one of my batteries, it wouldn't tighten enough to stop it being hand spinnable.

edit not DC house in my case

In case anyone is interested, DC House on Ebay has the 24V 100AH battery for $410 plus another 20% off for 4th of July. Taxes are based on the original price, so out the door for me with taxes is $360. I will not be picking up another battery though as I'm where I need to be already storage wise (12.5 KWh)

5.1kWh for $720+tax, free shipping. Solid $/kWh.

So I put all 6 24v-100ah batteries on a charger one by one at 3a - they all hit 100%SOC. I assume that the bms inside would have cut off charge if any of the cells internally exceeded max voltage?

How are you calculating SOC?

I bought one of the EcoWorthy 12V 100AH batteries during the Ebay 20% July 4th sale. Was $149'ish before taxes. Didn't realize the ad said it was used, but what I received looked brand new. Charged it up, put it on my CBA V and measured 105AH. I'm happy. This will be for ham radio portable operations with my 100W radio.

I didn't buy them because it said used. They are still listed at that price today but the coupon code doesn't work. You got a steal there, enjoy!

My father in low purchased four 48V, 50Ah batteries from Eco-Worthy about a month ago during a sale. He will be using them in parallel so hopefully if one BMS disconnects the others will continue operating his system. When I see positive reviews of the Eco-Worthy batteries, I don't see reviews of 5 year or 10 year owners, the reviews are of people who just got them or have had them for a short time.

I couldn't get a datasheet on the BMS or the battery pack from them after calling and emailing so I am worried about the quality of the cells and the BMS.

As I recall there was one take down video that showed JBD BMS. Put a NEEY or other active balancer of your flavor and you will have Bluetooth. You could also try to figure out how to ad Bluetooth to the JBD BMS. I recall that the handles come off pretty easy. Should be some way to add a DVM to the pack to see if the BMS disconnects. There should be at least a LED or two to give info. I have 4 of the E-W 100ah that have been working great for me since Dec 2022.
