few questions about solar power....

sorry, i think i misunderstood some of you.. i was under the impression that linking batteries in series multiplies the voltage and storage capacity...
Storage capacity is best worked out in Watt hours a single 3.4v 30ah cell gives roughly 100 Wh, by adding 4 identical cells in series gives you a 12v battery at 13.6v 30ah = 400Wh.

oh. i understand.. only the WH gets multiplied, well voltage too.. but amp hours no.. understood thank you...

so if i get 4 blocks of 3.2v 30ah.. the amp hours doesnt multiply, just he watt hours.. understood.. maybe my environment is just getting to me

i would like to test my current setup with 3 new additions a better inverter and naturally a better (authentic) mppt, 3 REAL 500 watt solar panels.. id would like to power the AC... i hope im not going about this the wrong way.. ... AC claims 600 watts. i believe the condensor/evaporator power surge + the big fan on the inside is calculated and it averages out to 600 watts per hour... .. my 2x12v 50ah batteries technically have 1200 wh stored in them if the solar panels are doing their job.. so that can handle the surge i just mentioned.. and the rest will be refilled by the solar panels.. still learning here so.. im learning with what ive got....sorry forgot to mention i believe the AC power surge is roughly 1kw
all advice is welcome

as per your suggestion for lifepo4 batteries, i intend to but earth has plenty of lithium.. no hurry :)

well, no criticism, so i think ill just go forward with it :) at least see if i can use the AC for free during daylight hours. and if that theory works out, ill but lifepo4 batteries with hopefully enough WH to give me 1000 watts an hour all day and night which yes, means 24,000 wh, incredible the dummy can do basic math, and as an addendum the new Canadian marvel movie Deadpool and Wolverine is orgasmic, worth watching

As a reference no idea if yours has an inverter but this is a Toshiba 960w inverted AC unit.

This is consuming 2KWh daily but only runs around 13 hours per day

generally, unless im wrong an AC has a surge pull of 1000 watts for the umm condensor ??? and the rest of the day it just has a fan spinning so average all that out and you get 600 watts
